After a one-year hiatus, the Vietnam Motor Show 2024 (VMS 2024) is back and will be taking place from October 23rd to October 27th at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

This year, VMS 2024 features the participation of 19 automobile and motorcycle brands, along with over 300 booths from auxiliary industries.

The exhibition will kick off at 9 am on October 23rd with a press tour of the automobile and motorcycle brands’ booths.

The press tour will provide an overview of each brand’s booth, including the number of vehicles on display, the message they want to convey, and their vedette models.

Mitsubishi

The press tour starts with the booth of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam. Taking center stage is the third generation of the Mitsubishi Triton, which was just launched in Vietnam earlier this month.

This area is also where Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam introduces its lineup, including the Mitsubishi Xpander, Mitsubishi Attrage, and Mitsubishi Xforce. Other SUVs such as the Outlander and Pajero Sport are not present.

Suzuki

The Vietnam Suzuki booth at VMS 2024 features the small-sized off-road SUV Suzuki Jimny, along with the recently launched Suzuki XL7 Hybrid and the Super Carry Pro truck.

The V-Strom 250SX motorcycle is also on display at the Suzuki booth. With a price of 132.9 million VND, it is the most affordable option in the small-sized adventure motorcycle segment.

Yamaha

The Yamaha Motor Vietnam exhibition area showcases a large number of models, ranging from scooters to large-displacement motorcycles, electric vehicles, and concept vehicles.

Yamaha also unveiled two concept vehicles at VMS 2024: Motoroid and Elove, both capable of recognizing their owners, self-transforming, self-riding, and self-balancing without any throttle operation.

The Yamaha Neo electric vehicle is also featured on the Yamaha booth’s stage, along with the recently launched Yamaha Janus.

Yamaha also introduced its new MAXi product line at the exhibition, including models such as the TMAX, NMAX, XMAX 300, NVX, and LEXi 155 VVA ABS.

SYM

The SYM display area features a wide range of two-wheeled vehicles, including step-through, manual clutch, and scooters.

SYM’s two-wheeled vehicles are diverse. Taking center stage are the Priti 125 and Tuscany 150 models. The Taiwanese brand also showcases its 50cc product line, along with small-displacement manual clutch models.

SYM shared that their vehicle designs draw inspiration from nature.

Skoda

The Czech brand makes its first appearance at a VMS exhibition. Skoda entered the Vietnamese market in September 2023 and is distributed by TC Motor.

Taking center stage at the Skoda booth is the new Skoda Kodiaq. The brand also showcases the Superb and Octavia sedans, as well as the Enyaq electric vehicle.

Skoda also confirmed that the Skoda Kushaq, a B-segment SUV, will be the first model to be assembled at their Quang Ninh factory.

The Skoda Karoq SUV is also present at the Skoda exhibition area at VMS 2024. Along with the Kodiaq, these two models are the first Skoda vehicles in Vietnam to be imported in the initial phase.

Toyota

At the Toyota exhibition area, the center stage is occupied by the FT-3e electric SUV concept.

In addition to the hybrid models already available in Vietnam, such as the Alphard HEV, Innova Cross HEV, Corolla Cross HEV, and Yaris Cross HEV, Toyota also launched the new Toyota Camry with updated pricing.

This is the Toyota Camry that was just launched in Thailand a few days ago. It is offered in three versions in Vietnam, with the pure gasoline model priced at 1.22 billion VND, and the two hybrid versions priced at 1.46 billion and 1.53 billion VND, respectively.

Honda

Honda participates in VMS 2024 with two booths, one for automobiles and one for two-wheeled vehicles.

At the center stage of the Honda booth is the new Civic, the CUV e: and ICON e: electric motorcycles, and the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade large-displacement motorcycle. Honda also announced that it will introduce a new scooter model on November 5th.

The Honda Civic is now available with the e:HEV powertrain for the first time. The new Honda Civic’s prices are 789 million and 889 million VND for the two pure gasoline versions, while the e:HEV RS hybrid version is priced at 999 million VND.

Surrounding the stage, Honda also showcases its current lineup of automobiles available in Vietnam, including the Honda City, Honda BR-V, and Honda HR-V.

The ICON e: electric motorcycle from Honda is equipped with a removable lithium-ion battery pack and offers two charging methods. Its price is expected to be no higher than 30 million VND.

The CUV e: electric vehicle is equipped with two removable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: battery packs. This model is only available for lease in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the two-wheeled vehicle booth, Honda separates the display area into two sections: one for step-through and scooters, and the other for large-displacement motorcycles.

Isuzu

Isuzu returns to VMS 2024 with the new generation of the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck taking center stage.

The new Isuzu D-Max has a starting price of 650 million VND and goes up to 880 million VND for the highest-end version.

The Japanese brand also showcases two commercial truck models and the 7-seat Isuzu mu-X SUV.

Subaru

Taking center stage at the Subaru booth is the Subaru Crosstrek. This model was previously known as the Subaru XV in Vietnam.

The Subaru Crosstrek is imported from Japan and is offered in two versions, one of which uses the e-Boxer Hybrid powertrain.

The Crosstrek’s prices start at 1.098 billion VND for the standard version and 1.268 billion VND for the hybrid version. During VMS 2024, promotional prices for the Crosstrek are 999 million and 1.169 billion VND, respectively.

Additionally, the Subaru exhibition area features the Forester and Outback models, along with the STI Package Edition versions of the BRZ and WRX sports cars.

GAC

GAC is one of the brands making its first appearance at the VMS exhibition. The Chinese brand officially entered the Vietnamese market in August with two initial models: the GAC M8 and GAC GS8.

The highlight of the GAC booth at VMS 2024 is the M6 Pro, a mid-sized MPV that competes with the Toyota Innova Cross, Hyundai Custin, and BYD M6.

The M6 Pro is offered in two versions in Vietnam, priced at 699 million and 799 million VND, respectively.

MG

MG is one of the Chinese brands that have been present in Vietnam for quite some time. They recently introduced the MG4 EV electric vehicle and the MG7 sedan to the Vietnamese market in April and August, respectively.
