A-Segment Car Sales Table for November 2024 (in units)

Hyundai Grand i10: 1,035 Units

In November 2024, Hyundai sold a total of 1,035 Grand i10 units to Vietnamese customers. This figure represents a 40.8% increase compared to the previous month. With these impressive sales figures, the Grand i10 maintains its leadership in the A-segment car category and ranks fourth within the Hyundai family.

Hyundai Grand i10

Despite a decline in popularity for A-segment cars in Vietnam, the Hyundai Grand i10 continues to perform well in terms of sales. This success can be partly attributed to the launch of an upgraded version of the car in the Vietnamese market in June 2024.

The upgraded Hyundai Grand i10 is priced from 360 to 455 million VND, remaining unchanged from the previous version. Along with competitive pricing, the car also boasts design enhancements and improved features.

Specifically, the new model includes additions such as LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and side mirrors with turn signal indicators. Inside, the car features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a dedicated Vietnamese navigation system, a push-button start, and smart key functionality.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2L Kappa MPI gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Wigo: 307 Units

The Toyota Wigo maintained its second position in the A-segment car category, a spot it has held for several months. With 307 units sold, the Japanese car witnessed a remarkable 53.5% sales growth, the highest in this segment.

Toyota Wigo

Unlike its Korean competitors, the Toyota Wigo is not domestically produced or assembled but is instead imported from Indonesia. Nevertheless, it offers competitive pricing, ranging from 360 to 405 million VND for two available versions.

The Toyota Wigo boasts impressive design and features that rival its Korean counterparts. It comes equipped with LED headlights, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a four-speaker audio system. Additionally, it includes rare safety features in this segment, such as a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) system.

Under the hood, the Toyota Wigo is powered by a new 1.2L gasoline engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a Dual-CVT automatic transmission. This engine produces a maximum output of 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque.

Kia Morning: 95 Units

Kia Morning experienced a modest sales growth of 10.4% compared to the previous month, with 95 units sold. However, this figure is only a tenth of its compatriot rival, the Hyundai Grand i10, placing it last in the A-segment car category.

Kia Morning

The Kia Morning’s strength lies in its competitive pricing, ranging from 349 to 424 million VND across five available versions. On the downside, it lacks certain features such as LED headlights and cruise control. Additionally, its design and features have remained largely unchanged for a while, making it less appealing to customers compared to its rivals.

Notable features of the Kia Morning include LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors with turn signal indicators, 14- to 15-inch wheels, an analog instrument cluster with a multi-information display, leather seats, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-speaker audio system, and automatic climate control.

The Kia Morning is powered by a 1.25L Kappa gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 83 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.
