Volkswagen Offers Attractive Year-End Deals in Vietnam

Following the footsteps of other automotive brands in Vietnam, Volkswagen is offering attractive deals on select models to tap into the pre-Lunar New Year shopping spree. The brand is providing support for up to 50% to 100% of the registration fee for vehicles purchased in December 2024.

Specifically, the Volkswagen Tiguan and Touareg models are offered with a 100% registration fee discount. With a current price of 1.999 billion VND, the Tiguan’s registration fee waiver amounts to 199-240 million VND, depending on the registration location.

Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Touareg, priced from 2.699 to 3.099 billion VND for two versions, means customers can save up to 270-371 million VND on this near-luxury SUV.

For the Volkswagen Teramont X, the brand is offering a 50% registration fee support. With a price of 1.998 billion VND, the discount for this model ranges from 100 to 120 million VND, depending on the registration location.

Volkswagen joins the year-end shopping frenzy with discounts of up to 370 million VND.

The remaining Volkswagen models in Vietnam, including the Teramont, Viloran, Virtus, and T-Cross, do not have promotional programs. However, the Teramont and Viloran duo will come with complimentary accessories.

In Vietnam, Volkswagen cars are less popular due to their higher price positioning compared to other brands in the same segment. While Volkswagen is considered an affordable brand internationally, in Vietnam, it is positioned closer to the luxury segment. As a result, both the brand and its dealers often need to provide promotions and discounts to attract local customers.

According to Volkswagen, as of mid-December 2024, the brand has sold nearly 3,000 vehicles in Vietnam, the highest annual sales since its entry into the market. The Volkswagen Viloran, a large MPV imported from China, accounts for approximately 70% of the brand’s sales in the country.

The Viloran is currently Volkswagen Vietnam’s bestselling model.

The growing sales have prompted Volkswagen to continuously introduce new models and versions in Vietnam. In 2024 alone, the brand launched several new products, including the Viloran, Teramont X, Touareg Elegance Plus, Tiguan Platinum, Teramont President, and Teramont Limited.

Additionally, Volkswagen plans to introduce the electric vehicle ID.6 X to the Vietnamese market. Initially, the brand intended to display this electric model at the VMS 2024 exhibition in October this year, but due to delays in shipping, they had to withdraw from the event.
