Hyundai Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HTMV) – a joint venture between TC Group and Hyundai Motor – has celebrated the export of Hyundai Palisade SUVs to Thailand. This marks the fourth batch of vehicles exported by HTMV in October, bringing the total number of Palisade SUVs exported to Thailand to 110 units.

The event was held at the Hyundai Thanh Cong No.1 factory in Gian Khau Industrial Park, Ninh Binh Province. It also marks the 15th anniversary of the collaboration between TC Group and Hyundai Motor in manufacturing and distributing Hyundai-branded vehicles in Vietnam.

According to plans, the HTMV joint venture will export more than 4,000 Hyundai vehicles to Southeast Asian countries in the 2024-2025 period.

HTMV aims to expand its export portfolio to include B-segment, B-SUV, D-SUV, and D-MPV models to neighboring markets such as Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian countries.

In addition to the Palisade, Hyundai’s passenger car lineup assembled in Vietnam includes the Grand i10, Accent, Venue, Creta, Elantra, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Ioniq 5 electric car. The Hyundai Palisade, the brand’s flagship SUV in Vietnam, is produced domestically and has been available to customers since September 2023. It is offered in four versions, with prices ranging from VND 1.469 billion to VND 1.589 billion, competing against the likes of the Ford Explorer (VND 2.099 billion) and the Volkswagen Teramont (VND 2.138 billion).

The Hyundai Palisade boasts a regional value content (RVC) ratio of over 40%, qualifying it for preferential tariffs under the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) agreement.
