General Motors is a household name when it comes to pickup trucks. The American giant has a presence in most pickup segments, with Chevrolet catering to the mass market, GMC to the premium segment, and the Hummer EV for those seeking the ultimate in luxury, packed with amenities and a thrilling driving experience. But what if GM decided to venture into the luxury pickup segment with its Cadillac brand?
Kelsonik, a graphic designer, has provided an answer to that question. The Cadillac pickup truck envisioned by Kelsonik sports a front end inspired by the all-electric Liriq SUV, while the body is borrowed from the Chevrolet Sierra EV. Overall, the design of this truck is quite harmonious, but it falls short of showcasing the elegance typically associated with Cadillac’s luxury vehicles.

In the past, Cadillac did venture into the pickup truck market with the Escalade EXT, introduced in 2002. However, due to sluggish sales over an extended period, the American brand decided to discontinue this model in 2013.

Since then, pickup enthusiasts have occasionally created Cadillac trucks with cargo beds. Notably, three years ago, a customization shop called Doms Garage Miami crafted a Cadillac pickup truck by combining the body of a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the front end of an Escalade. The result was a stunningly well-executed vehicle.

With the current trend towards electrification, many automakers are launching powerful and luxurious electric pickups, such as the Tesla Cybertruck and the Rivian R1T. Therefore, it is possible that Cadillac may introduce a pure electric pickup truck in the future, combining performance and luxury. However, this will depend on market response.
