In a recent announcement on the Wuling Vietnam homepage, TMT Motors revealed the electric vehicles that the company plans to introduce to the country in the near future. Alongside the Baojun Yep and Yep Plus duo, TMT Motors intends to launch the affordable Baojun E100 electric car for domestic consumers.
The Baojun E100 electric car is coming soon to Vietnam.
Following the launch of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV and Bingo, TMT Motors will continue to offer Baojun-branded electric cars in Vietnam. This is not surprising, as both Wuling and Baojun are currently subsidiaries of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture.
The Baojun E100, which first went on sale in the Chinese market in 2017, is positioned by TMT Motors as a potential replacement for motorcycles in Vietnam.
Classified as a small urban electric car, the Baojun E100 has compact dimensions of 2,488 mm in length, 1,506 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,600 mm. It is even smaller than the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, making it one of the tiniest cars that will be available in Vietnam in the future.
The Baojun E100’s length is less than 2.5 meters.
Due to its small size, the Baojun E100 has a tight turning radius of just 3.7 meters, making it highly maneuverable in city traffic and narrow alleys.
The Baojun E100 sports a 3-door hatchback design, reminiscent of the Smart ForTwo. It features a short front end with large headlights, a grille bearing the Baojun logo, a narrow central air intake in the front bumper, and fog lights in the corners.

Other design elements include flared wheel arches, small-diameter wheels, a decorative roof rack, a shark fin antenna, and halogen taillights. The electric car also sports black plastic cladding around its body.

The interior of the Baojun E100 is predictably basic, offering a 2-seat configuration with sporty seats, a 2-spoke steering wheel, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, an electronic gear selector in the form of a rotary dial, and Bluetooth connectivity. The dashboard is designed with a flat surface for storage but lacks an infotainment screen.

As expected, the safety features of the Baojun E100 are basic, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), parking sensors, and a pedestrian warning system. The higher-end variant will offer additional features such as automatic folding mirrors and a rearview camera.
Under the hood, the Baojun E100 is powered by an electric motor that generates 39 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. This enables the car to reach a top speed of 100 km/h. The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 14.9 kWh, providing a range of 200 kilometers on a single charge.

The Baojun E100’s battery supports slow charging, taking approximately 5 hours to fully charge. According to TMT Motors, owners will be able to charge the vehicle at home using a standard 220V outlet.
TMT Motors is in negotiations with SAIC-GM-Wuling to bring the Baojun E100 to Vietnam, with an expected price of below VND 150 million, including the battery. If this price point is accurate, the Baojun E100 will become the most affordable new car in the Vietnamese market.

In a surprising move, TMT Motors has just announced the upcoming launch of three new small electric vehicles in the Vietnamese market: the Baojun E100, Baojun Yep, and Baojun Yep Plus. Baojun is a subsidiary brand of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture in China, and these new offerings are set to shake up the electric vehicle landscape in Vietnam.
What Car Does the New Manchester United Manager Drive?
The new Manchester United manager is a man of humility, and this is reflected not only in his management style but also in his choice of car. Unlike many Premier League managers who drive flashy, high-end cars, he prefers to keep it modest and is often seen driving a modest vehicle. This choice of car is a reflection of his down-to-earth personality and his focus on substance over style. It is a refreshing change and a reminder that success in football is not always defined by extravagance.
