At Art Basel, Miami, artist Joaquin Arbiza unveiled his unique creation, the Pagani Zonda Carpincho, a stunning replica of the Pagani Zonda F supercar.

Entrepreneur and car collector Jorge Gomez commissioned this exceptional piece.

The Pagani Zonda Carpincho boasts a frame crafted from wood, foam, and clay. However, its true uniqueness lies in its exterior, adorned with over 100,000 2-peso coins from Uruguay. The reverse side of these coins features the capybara, a large rodent native to South America, which inspired the car’s name.

Crafting this model car took artist Joaquin Arbiza over three years of meticulous work.

Paying homage to his Argentinian roots and his love for football, Mr. Gomez requested that the football legend Lionel Messi’s image be featured on the car’s hood.

With an estimated cost of just over 200,000 pesos (approximately 110 million VND) for the coins used, the artist created a masterpiece at a fraction of the cost of the original Pagani Zonda, which typically retails for around $1.9 million (48.2 billion VND).

Currently, the Pagani Zonda Carpincho resides in Mr. Gomez’s private collection, valued at several million dollars. He is a renowned car collector, owning limited-edition models from prestigious brands such as Pagani, Ferrari, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz.
