The Mercedes-AMG SL43 is an impressive high-performance convertible sports car, priced at nearly 7 billion VND. With its racing-inspired electric turbo technology, it offers a unique experience alongside the Porsche 911 (992 generation). In Vietnam, there are almost 10 units of the latest generation Mercedes-AMG SL43, a few of which are finished in a sleek gunmetal grey.

However, it may come as a surprise that there is already a used Mercedes-AMG SL43 on the market. According to our sources, this particular car sports a gunmetal grey exterior and a black interior. Unfortunately, the owner, who seemed to have quickly grown tired of the car, has put it up for sale after just over 7,000 km of driving.

The seller informs us that the previous owner had applied a PPF coating, costing 80 million VND. Including the cost of the car and other on-road expenses, the total amount spent on the vehicle would have been around 7.75 billion VND. Now, the current owner is looking to sell it for 6.2 billion VND, resulting in a potential loss of nearly 2 billion VND for the first owner.

This presents a great opportunity for the next buyer, who will not only save a significant amount of money but also get a virtually new car, as indicated by the odometer reading of just 7,000 km.

The Mercedes-AMG SL43, currently available in Vietnam, belongs to the seventh generation of this model, introduced last year. The front of the car features a striking arched grille with vertical slats and the iconic three-pointed star logo at its center. The new LED headlights are triangular in shape, and the front air intakes are seamlessly connected, with additional small air vents on the sides.

The sporty Mercedes-AMG SL43 comes equipped with new, dual-spoke alloy wheels, as seen on the featured car, finished in silver with yellow brake calipers. Moving to the rear, the latest generation SL43 boasts new LED taillights, a split trunk to accommodate the convertible roof, and symmetrical round dual exhaust pipes.

One of the most critical and impressive features of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG SL43 is its soft top, a departure from the previous metal roof. This change has resulted in a weight reduction of 21 kg. The roof can be opened or closed in just 15 seconds at the touch of a button, even while the car is in motion, up to a speed of 60 km/h, according to the German luxury car manufacturer.

Step inside the seventh-generation Mercedes-AMG SL43, and you’ll immediately notice the sports seats, which hug the driver and front passenger, while the rear seats offer a more comfortable and spacious experience, perfect for children accompanying their parents on joyrides.

Additionally, the SL43 boasts a large 11.9-inch infotainment screen that can be adjusted for the best viewing angle and to prevent glare. The digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel has a 12.3-inch display.

The driving modes can be adjusted using a rotary knob on the gear lever, and the SL43 also features an adjustable exhaust sound system as standard. The air conditioning vents resemble the intakes of a fighter jet, adding to the sporty aesthetic.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG SL43 is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 375 horsepower at 6,750 rpm and 480 Nm of torque between 3,250 and 5,000 rpm. Furthermore, the SL43 can temporarily boost its power by an additional 13 horsepower thanks to its mild-hybrid system.

This powerful engine is paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission from AMG, enabling the SL43 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 km/h.

For those seeking the ultimate driving experience, the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package is a must-have. It adds six driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, and Race. It also lowers the ride height by 10 mm for a more aggressive stance and improved handling. Additionally, it includes an electronic rear axle differential and eye-catching yellow brake calipers, reminiscent of racing cars.
