According to information from the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, from the beginning of the year to December 15, the province of Nghe An registered 18,064 new cars, an increase of nearly 3,000 vehicles compared to 2023.
On average, this amounts to over 100 new car registrations per day in Nghe An, with approximately half of these registrations taking place in the Vinh city area.
It is expected that from December 15 to the eve of the Lunar New Year, there will be an additional 2,000 new car registrations in Nghe An.
Currently, Nghe An is also the third largest car-buying province in the country, following only Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The number of cars has been increasing year after year, so the Nghe An authorities have been focusing on upgrading and expanding the road traffic system. However, as most of the vehicles are concentrated in Vinh city, traffic congestion frequently occurs during rush hours on some main routes within the city.
In recent years, with an open economy, the people of Nghe An have had more opportunities for development, business, and production, leading to a significant increase in income.
In addition, Nghe An has a high number of people working overseas. According to the Nghe An Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, on average, 13,000-14,000 laborers from this province go abroad for employment on a contractual basis each year.
Furthermore, while incomes have been rising, car manufacturers have been offering more incentives and price support to stimulate demand, making it easier for people to buy cars through installment plans.
