Land Rover has unveiled its new 2025 Range Rover Velar SUV in Vietnam. This mid-life facelift model was first introduced in Europe in early 2023.
Compared to the first-generation model launched in Vietnam in 2017, the 2025 Range Rover Velar doesn’t differ drastically in terms of exterior design. The front grille has been subtly refined with a mesh pattern, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The Pixel LED headlights are now more streamlined and slender, sitting neatly on the edge of the bonnet.
At the rear, the taillights have been stretched to the sides, with the Range Rover nameplate in the center and a lower-positioned bumper. These design cues are inherited from the fifth-generation Range Rover, introduced in Vietnam in 2022.
The interior of the new Velar sees more significant changes than the exterior, featuring a prominent 11.4-inch curved touchscreen display at its heart. The cabin boasts an improved active noise cancellation system, along with notable features such as a Meridian sound system, Windsor leather upholstery, and a Shadow Grey veneer dashboard.
The vehicle is offered with three engine options. The first is a 2.0L gasoline engine producing 246 horsepower and 365 Nm of torque. The P340 model utilizes a hybrid system combining a 3.0L I6 engine with an electric motor, generating 335 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
The final option is the P400e, which combines a 2.0L gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 398 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque. This plug-in hybrid (PHEV) can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and offers an all-electric range of 64 km on a single charge.
Charging is expected to take around 2.5 hours via the 7 kW AC port located on the vehicle’s side. According to Land Rover Vietnam, the P400e model can cover up to 684 km when fully fueled and charged. All variants come with a standard all-wheel-drive system.
