VinFast has recently updated its pricing, battery leasing, and optional equipment policies for select electric vehicle models in the Vietnamese market. These changes took effect on January 1, 2025, and will remain in place until further notice.
The models affected by these policy changes include the VinFast VF3, VF5 Plus, VF6, VF7, VF8, and VF9, with specific details outlined below.
VinFast VF3
According to VinFast’s new policy, the VF3 maintains its previous pricing. The vehicle is priced at 240 million VND with a battery lease and 322 million VND with an included battery.
However, the monthly battery leasing cost for this mini electric car has increased. For a driving range of less than 1,500 km, the battery leasing cost is 1.1 million VND. The corresponding cost for a range between 1,500 and 2,500 km is 1.4 million VND, and for over 2,500 km, it is 3 million VND per month. Compared to the previous rates, the battery leasing cost for the VinFast VF3 has increased by up to 1 million VND.

VinFast VF3 pricing and battery leasing costs effective January 1, 2025 (in VND).
Additionally, customers who purchase the VF3 without a battery must pay a battery deposit of 7 million VND. The vehicle offers five upgraded color options, including yellow, pink purple, light green, light blue, and pink, for a price of 8 million VND. Custom paint jobs are also available for 15 million VND.
There are two home charging options: a handheld charger with a 2.2 kW output and an OBC handheld charger. These are priced at 4 million and 6 million VND, respectively.
VinFast VF5 Plus
Unlike the VF3, the VinFast VF5 Plus has seen an increase in its listed price since January 1, 2025. The electric vehicle is now priced at 480 million VND with a battery lease and 540 million VND with an included battery. This represents a 12 million VND increase for the lease option compared to the previous price. Adding the AC 7.4 kW home charger incurs an additional cost of 11 million VND.
The VinFast VF5 Plus experiences a price increase, and the monthly battery leasing cost for the VF3 has also increased by up to 1 million VND.
The monthly battery leasing cost for the VinFast VF5 Plus has also increased, ranging from 1.4 million VND for a maximum driving range of 1,500 km/month to 1.9 million VND for a range of up to 3,000 km/month, and 3.2 million VND for over 3,000 km/month. These rates reflect an increase of 200,000 to 500,000 VND.
