The Vietnamese auto market witnessed price adjustments from several car manufacturers, including MG, right at the beginning of 2025.
Specifically, on their homepage, MG Vietnam has reduced the listed prices of two car models: MG5 and ZS. The price reduction ranges from 20 to 60 million VND, depending on the version and model.
In particular, the MG5 has been discounted by 35 million VND for the standard STD version and 60 million VND for the high-end LUX version. The new listed price of this C-segment sedan ranges from 488 to 528 million VND. It continues to be the most affordable C-segment sedan in the Vietnamese market. In addition, the MG5 is also cheaper than the high-end versions of some B-segment sedans such as the Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, and Honda City.

For the ZS model, MG reduced the price by 20 million VND for the standard version and 50 million VND for the high-end version. As a result, the price of the MG ZS in Vietnam is now only 518-588 million VND. This model is also the most affordable B-segment SUV in the Vietnamese market at present.
In addition, MG also renamed two versions of the ZS line. The standard STD version is now called the ST+, while the LUX version is renamed LUX+.

Explaining this price adjustment, MG’s representative stated that this move would make their products more accessible and attractive to customers while maintaining a competitive edge against rivals in the same segment.
Furthermore, in January and February of 2025, MG also launched an official promotion program for their car models. The value of these promotions ranges from 12 to 45 million VND, a significant decrease compared to previous months.
Specifically, for the MG5, the manufacturer offers a registration fee worth 24 million VND for the STD version and 26 million VND for the LUX version. Similarly, the MG ZS also comes with a registration fee worth 26 to 29 million VND, depending on the version.
For the New MG5 line, customers receive a 2-year physical damage insurance worth 12 million VND for the MT version. Meanwhile, the MG HS model comes with a registration fee and a 1-year physical damage insurance, totaling 40 to 45 million VND in value.
MG’s two electric car lines, the MG4 EV and Cyberster, also have promotions, including a free 7 kW charger, 12 months of free charging at public charging stations of MG partners, and a 1-for-1 battery warranty for 7 years.

Thus, two MG car lines, the RX5 and MG7, do not have promotions like the previous months. This program is valid from January 1, 2025, to February 28, 2025, for cars produced in 2024. The target customers are all buyers who purchase cars from MG’s dealer system and have been invoiced during the promotion period (excluding bulk orders).
