Mitsubishi is set to showcase its Outlander PHEV Night Seeker concept at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon 2025.
The Outlander PHEV Night Seeker SUV is inspired by the popular video game, Metal Gear Solid.
The Night Seeker concept is developed based on the Outlander PHEV with custom body kits, wheel rims, and a host of other accessories, giving it a bold and rugged military-style look capable of tackling any terrain.
The front of the vehicle features a transparent cover that protects the grill and headlights while adding a unique touch. It is also equipped with modern LED lights to optimize visibility in low-light conditions.
The body of the vehicle stands out with its extended, angular wheel arches and steel-clad rims. It also sports a custom roof rack.
The Outlander PHEV Night Seeker concept is coated in a dark paint job, complemented by Metal Gear Solid-themed graphics, enhancing its bold and unique character.
It is unclear if the concept car has received any chassis or performance upgrades. If not, it retains the plug-in hybrid powertrain of the standard Outlander. This system delivers a combined output of 302 horsepower and, coupled with a 22.7 kWh battery, offers an impressive combined range of up to 844 kilometers.
In addition to the Outlander PHEV Night Seeker, Mitsubishi will also showcase two special editions of its Triton pickup truck at the salon.
One is the Triton Hiromi in orange, featuring a sporty body kit and lowered suspension. The other is the black Triton Red Bull Street Jam, adorned with a range of impressive accessories.
