Dongfeng has recently introduced four brand new models to the Vietnamese market. Each vehicle caters to different segments to increase accessibility to a wider range of customers.
Specifically, the four models are: Dongfeng Box EV (electric hatchback in the B-segment), Dongfeng E70 (electric sedan in the C-segment), Dongfeng Huge (D-segment hybrid SUV), and Dongfeng Mage (C-segment SUV/CUV with gasoline and hybrid options).
All four Dongfeng models are considered to have higher price points compared to other vehicles in their respective segments.
Dongfeng Huge
The Dongfeng Huge is offered in Vietnam with a single variant, priced at 1.029 billion VND. It competes in the same segment as the Mazda CX-8 (969 million VND) and Kia Sorento (964 million VND), but its price is significantly higher.
The Huge is powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5L engine with an electric motor at the front axle, producing a total output of 241 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. This setup is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It comes equipped with features such as a dual 12.3-inch display, power-adjustable seats with heating and ventilation, a 10-speaker JAMO sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ADAS package, and a 540-degree camera.
Dongfeng Mage
The Dongfeng Mage is available in Vietnam in three variants, with prices ranging from 749 million to 969 million VND. This pricing is higher than the Mazda CX-5 and comparable to the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, and Ford Territory.
The Mage is offered with two powertrain options in Vietnam. The first is a turbocharged 1.5L gasoline engine producing 201 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The second option is a hybrid system combining a turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 288 horsepower and 565 Nm of torque. This setup is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The Mage comes loaded with features such as a 10.25-inch and 13.2-inch touchscreen displays, power-adjustable seats with heating and ventilation, a 6-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof, ADAS package, and a 360-degree camera.
Dongfeng E70
The Dongfeng E70 is a pure electric sedan in the C-segment. It is offered in Vietnam with a single variant priced at 689 million VND. This price is also higher than its competitors, the Mazda3 (599 million VND) and Kia K3 (579 million VND).
The E70 is powered by a front-axle electric motor that generates a maximum output of 163 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. It utilizes a 47.5 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of 401 kilometers on a single charge.
The E70’s cockpit features a minimalist design with amenities such as a two-spoke steering wheel with function buttons, synthetic leather seats, a manually adjustable 6-way driver’s seat, and a 4-way passenger seat.
Additionally, it comes equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster seamlessly integrated with a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, and an automatic air conditioning system capable of filtering PM2.5 fine dust.
Dongfeng Box
The Dongfeng Box is offered in four variants, with prices ranging from 499 million to 629 million VND. It is positioned in the B-segment hatchback category, which is less popular among Vietnamese customers.
The Box is equipped with an electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 94 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque. It offers two battery options: a 31.45 kWh battery that provides a range of 240 kilometers, and a 42.3 kWh battery that offers a range of 340 kilometers, both measured by the WLTP standard.
Notable convenience features include a 2-spoke steering wheel with function buttons, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, power-adjustable seats with heating and cooling functions, automatic climate control, ambient lighting with 32 color options, wireless charging, electronic parking brake, and auto hold function.
