On January 9, 2025, Ford Vietnam announced its cumulative sales figures for 2024. The American brand sold a total of 42,175 vehicles to Vietnamese customers last year, a 10% increase. Additionally, the Ford Ranger, Everest, and Territory trio all achieved record sales, while the Transit saw positive growth with the launch of an all-new version.

Specifically, in 2024, Vietnamese customers purchased a total of 17,508 Ford Rangers, a 9% increase compared to 2023. This model alone accounted for 75% of the market share in the pickup truck segment in Vietnam.

This is the 12th consecutive year that the Ranger has led the pickup truck segment. The model is popular due to its design and equipment advantages. Currently, the Ranger offers the most variants in the segment, including XLS, XLS+, Sport, Wildtrak, Stormtrak, and Raptor, catering to diverse customer needs. The Ranger Stormtrak, unveiled in April 2024, features enhanced exterior styling and a smart rack system, a first in its class.

Ford’s second best-selling model in Vietnam for 2024 was the Everest. This mid-size SUV achieved sales of nearly 10,900 units, a 9% increase from the previous year. Similar to the Ranger, the Ford Everest maintained its leading position in the mid-size SUV segment.

In 2024, the Everest lineup was enhanced with the introduction of the Platinum edition, offering upgrades to its interior and exterior, as well as convenience features such as 20-inch alloy wheels, the largest in its class, ventilated and heated leather seats, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, a 3-position memory function for the driver’s seat, and a 12-speaker B&O sound system.

Following the Everest was the Ford Territory, with sales reaching 8,125 units in 2024, capturing a 14% market share in the C-SUV segment. Officially launched in Vietnam in October 2022, the Territory has consistently broken sales records. In just two years since its debut, over 15,000 Territory vehicles have been sold.

Ford Territory surpasses 15,000 cumulative sales since its launch in the Vietnamese market.

Lastly, the Ford Transit achieved sales of 5,012 units, a remarkable 30% growth compared to 2023, capturing a 70% market share in its segment. This success is partly attributed to the introduction of the new-generation Transit in Vietnam in July 2024, offering three variants: Trend 16-seater, Premium 16-seater, and Premium+ 18-seater, the largest in its class. The new Transit is equipped with a host of conveniences, including a dual 12.3-inch screen setup with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, electric sliding doors, individual air vents, and the comprehensive “Upfleet” business solutions package.

In addition to sales growth, Ford Vietnam also launched an e-commerce platform in 2024 to facilitate the ordering process and introduced a mobile service option, offering maintenance services within 4 hours or free of charge. This model is a first in the Vietnamese automotive industry, providing customers with a convenient and efficient online shopping experience. With connected data, the mobile service can track when Ford vehicles require maintenance and remind owners to schedule services at their preferred locations. Ford Vietnam has deployed 54 mobile service vehicles nationwide, completing over 1,700 services with a 99% on-time completion rate.
