Just under half a year since its introduction in Vietnam, the Honda Wave 110i motorcycle has seen price reductions at most dealerships. This move helps dealers clear out their Wave 110i inventory while also stimulating demand post-Tet holiday.
According to a representative from a Honda Wave 110i dealership in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, the latest price reduction is nearly 10 million VND compared to around four months ago. The Honda Wave 110i is now priced at 62 million VND, down from nearly 72 million VND for this motorcycle model.
“This price only applies to the current lot of Wave 110i motorcycles, which totals about 110 units,” the representative shared.
Our reporter also reached out to another dealership in Ho Chi Minh City and confirmed a similar price drop. The reduction at this particular dealership is not as significant as the one in Thu Duc, with the motorcycle now priced at 65 million VND.
The dealership representative attributed the price cut to the Wave 110i’s underwhelming sales performance compared to its predecessor, the Wave 125i. They also mentioned that the Wave 110i may not be restocked in the future.
The Honda Wave 110i sold in Vietnam is imported from Thailand. Compared to the locally-sold Wave Alpha, the Wave 110i boasts several design and engine upgrades, including LED lighting, electronic fuel injection, alloy wheels, and disc brakes.
Honda Vietnam is likely to soon start local distribution of the Wave 110i as the next generation of the Wave Alpha. If this happens, the Honda Wave 110i will directly compete with the Yamaha Jupiter Finn, Yamaha Vietnam’s newest motorcycle model.
