The year 2024 saw a diverse range of supercars being imported to Vietnam, both through official and private channels. However, only a few found owners and stayed in the country. Notably, a private import company boldly brought in the Ferrari 812 GTS for Dang Le Nguyen Vu.
Although the number of privately imported cars to Vietnam in 2024 was not significant, it still brings hope for more diverse options in 2025, alongside the officially imported models.
On the official front, Ferrari introduced numerous prominent models to the country, including the Roma Spider, which was the first of its kind in Vietnam. Finished in a black and red metallic hue, the Roma Spider quickly found a buyer in Hanoi just weeks after its media debut.
The Ferrari Roma Spider is equipped with a 3.9-liter V8 turbocharged engine that generates a maximum output of 620 horsepower and 760 Nm of peak torque. This powerplant is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the Roma Spider to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of over 320 km/h.
McLaren also made a strong showing by bringing in the 750S and 750S Spider duo to Vietnam, before handing them over to two affluent individuals from Ho Chi Minh City. The 750S Coupe, in particular, boasts a paint job that cost nearly 2 billion VND. Additionally, two McLaren Artura Spiders made their presence known.
Compared to the McLaren 720S, the new 750S is also equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine but delivers 4% more power. Specifically, the 750S engine generates a maximum output of 740 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 800 Nm of torque.
The 750S engine is mounted longitudinally in the middle of the car and is coupled with a 7-speed SSG automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. As a result, the McLaren 750S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 0-200 km/h in 7.2 seconds, and from 0-299 km/h in 19.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 332 km/h.
Lamborghini had a busy year with the launch of the Revuelto supercar in the Vietnamese market. They also delivered numerous other models, including the Huracan Tecnica, Urus S, and Urus Performante.
As Lamborghini’s first commercially available plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supercar, the Revuelto attracted significant attention. Despite sharing the same V12 engine as its predecessors, the Revuelto is 17 kg lighter while producing more power, with a maximum output of 825 horsepower at 9,250 rpm—a substantial increase of 125 horsepower over the Aventador.
When combined with the electric motor, the Revuelto’s powerplant delivers a total output of 1,015 horsepower. This makes it Lamborghini’s first supercar to surpass the 1,000-horsepower mark in terms of maximum output.
These impressive specifications enable the Lamborghini Revuelto LB744 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, reach 200 km/h in under 7 seconds, and attain a top speed of 350 km/h.
Compared to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae, the Revuelto accelerates faster but has a slightly lower top speed. Even when pitted against the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Revuelto, despite its more powerful and higher-output engine, matches the Ferrari’s 0-100 km/h acceleration.
The on-the-road price of the Lamborghini Revuelto in Vietnam will exceed 50 billion VND, matching the price of the Ferrari SF90 Spider, of which two units have already been sold in the country. In international markets, the Lamborghini Revuelto is priced at over 13.5 billion VND.
