Mazda dealerships across the nation have started taking reservations for the new 7-seater SUV, the 2025 Mazda CX-8. According to a sales consultant, deliveries of the new CX-8 will commence from the end of December. Thaco Vietnam has also updated the images and details of this new model on the brand’s homepage under the name “New Mazda CX-8”.

This is a minor facelift from its predecessor, so the design of the CX-8 only differs slightly from the current model. Specifically, the grille now features a honeycomb pattern, and the front bumper has been refreshed. The naming of the versions has also changed; for example, the 2.5L Premium AWD will now be known as the 2.5 Signature AWD.

The biggest difference lies in the number of versions available, as Mazda has removed the 6-seater option and the 2.5L Premium AWD (6S) version. The safety features have also been upgraded, now including a seatbelt reminder system, automatic high beam control (HBC), and blind-spot monitoring (BSM). Tire pressure monitoring is also included.

Compared to the current model, the price of the 2025 CX-8 has increased by approximately VND 10-30 million, depending on the version. Specifically, the 2.5 Luxury is priced at VND 969 million, the 2.5 Premium at VND 1,049 billion, and the 2.5 Signature AWD at VND 1,149 billion.

Both the new and current CX-8 models are sold simultaneously on the homepage.

Currently, the Mazda Vietnam homepage still includes the previous-generation CX-8 in its product lineup, so it is likely that both the new and old models will be sold concurrently. In Vietnam, the CX-8 competes in the mid-size SUV segment against rivals such as the Ford Everest (VND 1,099-1,545 billion), Hyundai Santa Fe (VND 1,069-1,265 billion), Kia Sorento (VND 964 million – VND 1,189 billion), and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (VND 1,13-1,365 billion).
