## Car Care Services in High Demand as Year-End Approaches

Towards the end of the year, there is a surge in demand for new car purchases, partly driven by the government’s vehicle registration fee incentives. Consequently, car care and maintenance services have been thriving, with an increased demand for car upgrades and protection.
Tri Thức – Znews observed that car care service centers in major cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang are bustling with customers.
## Busy Season Starts in November
At STEK, a specialized car maintenance center in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, the influx of vehicles for maintenance has filled up their premises. The owner, Mr. Tuan Kiet, shared that customers have been consistently booking appointments since the beginning of November.
Usually, in previous years, the number of new cars brought in for maintenance gradually increased from October, but this year, it started later and with a higher volume. During peak days, the car care center attends to 2-3 vehicles per shift.
“There are cars coming in almost every day, and our staff has to work from morning to night without much break to deliver the cars on time,” added Mr. Kiet.
On average, services like PPF film installation and exterior cleaning take around 4-5 days, depending on the car model. Hence, during busy periods, customers may need to book an appointment or wait for up to 2 weeks.

Mr. Kiet explained that customers have various protection package options depending on their needs, resulting in a wide range of service costs. The price can vary significantly, ranging from 50 to 125 million VND, depending on the type of PPF film chosen.
This variation in cost can be observed in the comparison between an SUV priced at one billion VND, which may incur car care expenses of over 100 million VND, and a luxury sedan that sometimes costs less than 80 million VND for similar services.
Mr. Kiet asserted that this is not even the busiest time yet. He expects an even higher volume of customers in January of the following year as people rush to get their cars ready for the Lunar New Year celebrations.
## BonBon Car Wash and Interior Cleaning Services Also in High Demand
A similar surge in demand is experienced at BonBon, a chain of car wash and interior cleaning service centers in Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Huyen, a representative of BonBon, shared that they started receiving an increasing number of bookings for heat insulation film installation and car interior cleaning services from mid-November.

On average, each branch serves approximately 5-6 cars per day, almost double the number of new customers compared to the previous year. However, since heat insulation film installation is a relatively quick service, customers typically only need to wait a few hours to receive their vehicles.
According to Ms. Huyen, their booking system is integrated into the center’s management application, so there are rarely any issues with car congestion. Still, during peak times, customers may have to wait for at least 2 days.
## VinFast VF 3 Tops the List for Upgrades
In addition to film installation and maintenance services, car upgrade service centers are also bustling with customers during this year-end period.
Mr. Tien Hung, the owner of HAD Car in Da Nang, shared that they receive at least 2 new cars daily for upgrades, and this number can go up to 4-5 cars during the weekends.
Interestingly, the VinFast VF 3 model is a frequent visitor to their shop due to the high demand for upgrades. According to Mr. Hung, nearly 70% of the daily cars brought in for upgrades are VF 3s.

Mr. Hung explained that the cost of heat insulation film installation or color wrap for a VF 3 is relatively lower, ranging from 4 to 7 million VND, due to the smaller size of the vehicle, which requires less material.
This is one of the main reasons why VF 3 owners prioritize car upgrade and beautification services right after purchasing their vehicles.
In previous years, while there was a high demand for car maintenance towards the end of the year, car upgrades or modifications were not a priority. However, the introduction of this mini electric car has unexpectedly brought excitement and buzz to the car upgrade industry. It can be said that the VF 3 has given new life to the car upgrade sector within just a few months of its launch.
