Despite facing financial troubles and the possibility of a merger with Honda to avoid bankruptcy, Nissan continues to innovate with its mobile home concepts. The Japanese brand has recently unveiled the X-Trail Unwind camping trailer.
Departing from their previous models, Nissan has chosen the X-Trail as the base for this new concept, instead of a van. Nissan explains that since the concept doesn’t include full camping amenities such as a bed, kitchen, or bathroom, the spaciousness of a boxy van is not necessary.
The highlight of this trailer is a sunbathing deck on a wheeled platform at the back. The deck is not your typical flat surface but is designed with a wave-like shape, mimicking ergonomic chairs for enhanced comfort while lounging or sitting.
Inside the trunk is a sliding bar system, complete with a coffee maker, smart coffee grinder, and a cup holder.
Additionally, Nissan introduced another outdoor concept called the X-Trail Remastered Concept. This version features an inverted S-shaped sliding compartment housing a sound system with a record player, as well as power and batteries to operate the equipment.
