The February issue of the Industrial Property Gazette recorded the copyright registration for the Honda Vario 125 scooter model. This registration was filed by Honda Motor Company Limited.
The Vario 125 is not an unfamiliar sight to Vietnamese consumers, and this copyright registration indicates a high likelihood of the model being officially distributed soon. In the past, many Honda models were sold officially shortly after their copyright registrations.

According to exclusive information obtained by Zing, the Honda Vario 125 will be available from authorized dealers this year. Previously, Honda Vietnam introduced the Vario 160 in December 2021, which was seen as a response to private motorcycle importers.
The newest iteration of the Honda Vario 125 was launched in Indonesia in April 2021. After about half a year, these scooters made their way to Vietnam through private import stores. Compared to its predecessor, the new Vario 125 remains unchanged in terms of equipment and design, with only minor updates to the decals and color options.

The Vario 125 is powered by a 124.8 cc eSP engine, delivering 11 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.8 Nm at 5,000 rpm. In the Indonesian market, this model is offered with two options: with or without the Idling Stop System (ISS).
Private dealers are currently selling the Honda Vario 125 at prices ranging from 47 to 50 million VND. If officially distributed, the price of this scooter is not expected to deviate significantly from the privately imported units.
