Shelby American unveiled the 2025 GT350 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Its debut came nearly 60 years after Carroll Shelby introduced the first one, and this is the most powerful GT350 in history.

The 2025 Shelby GT350 Returns With Up to 810 HP

Starting under the hood, customers will find the familiar 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 480 hp. However, most people will likely opt for the 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger upgrade, which boosts output to 810 hp.

Regardless of the engine choice, they can be paired with either an automatic or manual transmission, with the manual featuring short-throw shifters.

The upgrades extend beyond the engine bay as the 2025 Shelby GT350 comes equipped with lowering springs, new sway bars, and a Borla cat-back exhaust. This model also rides on 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Shelby-specific performance tires.

Although some Shelby American models aren’t exactly lookers, they’ve done a great job this time. Starting at the front, there’s a deep aluminum hood and a three-piece front splitter. These are combined with an aggressive grille and subtle Shelby badging.

Further back, there’s a duckbill spoiler and Le Mans-style body stripes. The Mustang also features tinted windows, although that varies by state. Customers can also order options like a rear wing and a carbon fiber package.

The company only released a handful of interior photos, but the cabin features Shelby-embroidered leather seats. These are combined with embroidered floor mats, special sill plates, and a serialized dash plaque. Models equipped with the manual transmission also have a billet shift knob.

Production will be limited to 526 units, and they will be sold in the US through select Ford dealers. A limited number will also be offered worldwide. Shelby hasn’t announced detailed pricing, but they did say the supercharged version will start at $109,999, including the base car.

Shelby GT350R: Track-Ready and Street-Legal

If the standard model is a bit too tame for you, you can upgrade to the GT350R. It comes standard with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine producing over 830 hp. Besides being more powerful, it also has a 6-speed manual transmission for those who enjoy the driving experience of a clutch pedal.

With track ambitions, the GT350R benefits from a stiffened and optimized chassis and a JRI suspension system. Customers will also find Alcon Racing brakes and Gold Rush-painted Forge-line racing wheels.

This model also features an aluminum roof with carbon fiber vents. They are combined with vented carbon fiber front fenders, a carbon fiber rear wing, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser.

The interior features Sparco racing seats, a roll cage, and carbon fiber accents. This model also has four-point racing harnesses and an AiM Solo 2 lap timer.

The GT350R will be produced by Turn Key Automotive in Michigan, and production will be limited to 36 units. All will be painted white, but Shelby will offer various stripe and graphics packages.
