Football superstar Neymar recently made headlines as he returned to his former club, Santos, after a 12-year stint abroad.

It has been revealed that Neymar’s current residence in Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, is about 500 kilometers away from Santos’ training ground. As a result, the player has to commute by helicopter, spending 2 hours each day traveling to and from training. This arrangement is costing him approximately $600 (over 150 million VND) per trip until he finds a more suitable accommodation.

The H-145 helicopter, purchased by Neymar in 2019 for a whopping $10.3 million, was even more expensive than the family’s current home at the time of purchase.

Neymar’s helicopter is bathed in black and styled after Batman, his favorite superhero growing up. The initials NJR, short for Neymar Junior, are emblazoned on the body and tail of the aircraft.

The Airbus H-145 is a lightweight helicopter with dimensions of 11.69 x 2.4 x 4 meters (length x width x height) and a weight of approximately 2,449 kilograms. It can carry a maximum load of 3,700 kilograms and reach speeds of over 240 kilometers per hour.

With a twin-engine setup, the H-145 has a range of roughly 650 kilometers on a full tank of fuel. Its VIP passenger cabin, designed by Mercedes, can accommodate up to 11 people in luxurious comfort.
