On the afternoon of February 5, 2025, a group of Saigon’s wealthy individuals gathered with their supercars in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Among them were three stunningly modified supercars.
Two McLaren supercars and one Lamborghini took to the streets near Notre-Dame Cathedral in District 1. This included a McLaren 650S Spider with a Liberty Walk body kit, a McLaren 720S with an N-Largo body kit by Novitec, and a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 with an SVJ body kit.
The McLaren 650S Spider is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a maximum of 641 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing the McLaren 650S Spider convertible to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 328 km/h.
The McLaren 720S N-Largo is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers a maximum output of 710 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed SSG dual-clutch transmission, enabling the McLaren 720S N-Largo to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and decelerate from 100-0 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The supercar has a top speed of 341 km/h.
The McLaren 720S N-Largo, the only one of its kind in Vietnam, is also fitted with a Frequency Intelligent Exhaust system, which boosts the engine’s performance by 8%. It is likely that this particular 720S owned by Phuong Ngo produces 766 horsepower.
The Lamborghini supercar, with its limited-edition Aventador SVJ body, has not been modified in terms of engine performance. The “heart” of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is a 6.5-liter V12 engine that generates a maximum output of 700 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque.
This engine is combined with a 7-speed ISR automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, allowing the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 SVJ body kit to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
The McLaren Elva: A Dream Come True for Minh “Nhá»±a”?
The McLaren Elva is an engineering masterpiece and an ultimate expression of McLaren’s philosophy. With its powerful engine and lightweight construction, it’s a thrill-seeker’s dream. However, over two years after its purchase, this supercar is yet to pass its registration inspection and obtain its license plate.
