The BYD Denza N9 has recently been featured in the Vietnamese Intellectual Property Office’s January issue of the Industrial Property Official Gazette, suggesting an imminent launch in the local market.
Denza N9, the flagship SUV of BYD’s Denza brand, was introduced in its home market of China back in November 2024.
The N9 comes in two variants: EV and PHEV. It is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, which offers rear-wheel steering via dual motors and improved stability with air suspension…
Denza N9 boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 5,258 mm, a width of 2,030 mm, a height of 1,830 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,125 mm.
Its exterior stands out with a robust and trendy design, complemented by modern features such as LiDAR on the roof, digital side mirrors, hidden door handles, and large multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The Denza N9 offers a 7-seat configuration with a captain-style second-row seat that can be folded flat to form a bed for long journeys.
Inside, the SUV is equipped with three large screens, including a 17.3-inch touchscreen, a head-up display, a multifunctional four-spoke steering wheel, and a retractable audio system. It also features an electronic gear selector, dual wireless charging pads, an overhead display, a refrigerator, and a panoramic sunroof.
In China, the Denza N9 EV is powered by three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 952 horsepower.
On the other hand, the PHEV version combines a 2.0L gasoline engine with a 47 kWh battery pack, enabling it to travel up to 165 km on pure electric power.
In the Chinese market, the Denza N9 starts at 359,800 CNY (approximately 1.24 billion VND) for the standard version without lidar, while the top-of-the-line model is priced at around 450,000 CNY (approximately 1.55 billion VND). At these price points, the Denza N9 may struggle to find a competitive edge in the Vietnamese market without adjustments.
