The all-new generation of the large SUV Volkswagen Teramont has been consistently making appearances through leaked images from its manufacturing plant in China, where it is known as the Volkswagen Teramont Pro.

Now, the Volkswagen Teramont Pro’s interior has also been revealed. Similar to its exterior, the interior showcases the latest design language of the Volkswagen brand, exuding a more modern and premium feel.

The Volkswagen Teramont Pro boasts a spacious 7-seater, 3-row interior. The middle row can be adjusted forward or backward, depending on the passengers’ needs. The last row of seats can be electrically folded flat with just one touch, creating more luggage space when needed.

The second row of seats in the Volkswagen Teramont Pro can be adjusted for added convenience.

The interior’s focal point is the large, rectangular digital instrument cluster and the centrally-mounted infotainment screen that sits atop the dashboard. This approximately 15-inch central touchscreen replaces most of the mechanical buttons in the car. Just below the screen are touch-sensitive buttons for added functionality.

The vehicle features a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function keys. The electronic gear selector is positioned behind the steering wheel, similar to Korean models like the Hyundai Santa Fe and the new Tucson. Additionally, this German SUV is equipped with a front passenger entertainment screen.

The central control cluster resembles that of the Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro, featuring a volume knob, driving mode selector, and climate control with an integrated small screen. It also includes a large center armrest, electronic parking brake, covered storage compartment, and two cup holders.

Furthermore, the Teramont Pro is equipped with beautifully integrated ambient lighting on the door panels, a premium sound system, manual sunshades for the second-row passengers, and air vents on the B-pillars.

On the outside, the Volkswagen Teramont Pro showcases design variations depending on the trim level. The standard version features a narrow grille and a central air intake in the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, surrounded by silver trim. Volkswagen’s logo sits in the middle of a two-part decorative panel, with the upper half being transparent and housing the LED daytime running lights, and the lower half in glossy black. Additionally, the car is equipped with two-story headlights and prominent vertical air intakes.

On the sides, the Teramont Pro boasts a striking character line that runs from the headlights to the taillights. It also features multi-spoke, two-tone alloy wheels and hidden door handles, reminiscent of those found on electric vehicles.

The R-Line trim, on the other hand, offers a sportier look with a honeycomb pattern on the grille and central air intake. The corner air intakes at the front are also enlarged and finished in glossy black, matching the rear bumper. The R-Line trim also features an illuminated logo at the front and rear, similar to the standard version.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen Teramont Pro sold in China is equipped with a mild hybrid powertrain and the latest generation of the EA888 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine. This engine generates an impressive 271 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, a significant increase compared to the previous version. The car boasts an all-wheel-drive system and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 200 km/h. Its fuel consumption is rated at 8.35 liters per 100 km.

The Teramont Pro is a product of the Volkswagen-SAIC joint venture in China. According to the plan, it will be officially launched in the Chinese market in the first quarter of this year.

After its debut in China, the Volkswagen Teramont Pro is expected to be introduced in other global markets, including Vietnam. Currently, Volkswagen offers several models imported from China in Vietnam, such as the Teramont X and Viloran.
