Ford Ranger: 1,115 units
In January, Ford sold 1,115 Ranger units to Vietnamese customers, a 30.4% decrease from the previous month. Despite this, the Ford Ranger remains the best-selling pickup truck in Vietnam. It is also the top-selling gasoline and diesel vehicle in the country. In the overall market, the Ford Ranger is only outsold by two VinFast electric car models, the VF 3 and VF 5.
Ford Ranger
This February, the Ford Ranger is offered with official incentives. For the 2024 production year, the XLS 4×2 and XLS 4×4 versions come with a cash gift of VND 10 million, while the corresponding amount for the Sport version is VND 14 million. Meanwhile, the Stormtrak and Raptor versions are offered with a 50% registration fee incentive, valued at approximately VND 31 million and VND 39 million, respectively.
For the 2024 VIN Ford Ranger Wildtrak, there are two incentive packages to choose from: 50% registration fee plus one year of physical insurance, or a cash support of VND 35 million. The registration fee incentive for the Wildtrak version is worth approximately VND 29 million. The 2025 VIN Ford Ranger Wildtrak also has two incentive packages: one year of physical insurance or a cash support of VND 5 million.
For the past 12 years, the Ford Ranger has consistently maintained its position as the “sales king” in the pickup truck segment in Vietnam. This achievement is attributed to its attractive design and features.
In Vietnam, the Ford Ranger offers the most variants, with up to six options, and prices ranging from VND 669 million to VND 1.306 billion. This provides a wide range of choices for domestic customers.
Under the hood, the pickup truck is powered by two diesel engine options with a 2.0L capacity. The first is a single-turbo engine that delivers a maximum output of 167 horsepower and a peak torque of 405 Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The second option is a twin-turbo engine that generates 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Mitsubishi Triton: 246 units
Mitsubishi Triton witnessed a surge in sales in January 2025, with a 27.6% decrease to 246 units. With this performance, the Triton secured the second position in the segment, just behind the Ford Ranger.
Mitsubishi Triton
This February, Mitsubishi is offering a 50% registration fee incentive for the Triton, valued at VND 33-46 million. Additionally, customers who purchase this pickup truck during the month will receive a gift worth VND 10 million.
The Mitsubishi Triton is currently available in three variants, with prices ranging from VND 655 million to VND 924 million. The vehicle offers a competitive price, along with enhanced design and features in the new generation.
Notable equipment highlights include an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch multi-information display integrated into the instrument cluster, a 9-inch center touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, forward collision mitigation and warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Triton is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 184 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque in the 2WD AT GLX and 2WD AT Premium versions. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and either a 1-wheel or 2-wheel drive system, depending on the version.
Toyota Hilux: 166 units
The rise of the Mitsubishi Triton pushed the Toyota Hilux to third place in the pickup truck segment. In January, Hilux sales reached 166 units, a decrease of 55.7%.
Toyota Hilux
The Toyota Hilux is currently priced from VND 668 million to VND 999 million in Vietnam. For the red color option, the price ranges from VND 676 million to VND 1.007 billion.

The Isuzu D-Max had the lowest sales decline in the pickup truck segment, at only 17.3%. However, its actual sales figures were modest, with only 57 units sold. Consequently, the Isuzu D-Max continues to lag in sales within the segment.
Isuzu D-Max
The Isuzu D-Max is available in four variants in Vietnam, with prices ranging from VND 650 million to VND 880 million. Despite being the most affordable option in the segment, the D-Max has not gained popularity due to its less appealing design.
