“Building a Green Transport Network for Hanoi: A Collaborative Effort”

Especially with the integration of the parties, for the first time, a green mobility network will be seamlessly and intelligently connected on a single application, bringing maximum convenience to users.

The collaboration between Hanoi Metro and companies within the VinFast electric vehicle ecosystem is part of a campaign called “For a Green Capital” initiated by the City People’s Committee and Vingroup. The goal of this cooperation is to build a sustainable, convenient, and environmentally friendly public transportation network for the people.

According to the signed agreement, the parties will coordinate to implement the “door-to-door” model, comprehensively connecting pure electric public transport means, including Hanoi Metro lines, electric taxis, electric motorcycles from Xanh SM, and VinBus electric buses, to provide a seamless smoke-free journey experience for passengers.

Specifically, the ticketing system of Metro and Xanh SM’s ride-hailing service will be integrated into the same platform as VinBus, allowing citizens to easily plan their entire journey using just one application. VinBus, together with Hanoi Metro, will coordinate connections to stations with high passenger traffic, while Xanh SM will have pick-up and drop-off locations at all Hanoi Metro stations, providing users with convenient options for their next electric ride.

Along with the seamless journey, the parties will also collaborate to build a seamless incentive program, offering attractive promotions to Hanoi Metro passengers when using the electric taxi, Xanh SM electric motorcycle, or VinBus electric bus services.

Complementing the green mobility network is FGF, a flexible electric vehicle rental brand. The company will cooperate with Hanoi Metro to research and propose vehicle exchange points at stations, stops, and Metro headquarters, while also providing special offers for passengers using the urban rail service.

V-Green, a charging station development company, will also coordinate to propose planning for charging stations at Metro stations, supporting the electrification of transportation in the capital.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Linh, Executive Director of Xanh SM Vietnam, shared: “Public transportation will only be truly effective when people find it convenient, fast, and easy. This is also the shared vision among the enterprises in this cooperation. Xanh SM believes that with a comprehensively connected and synchronized public transportation network, Hanoi will gradually transform into a smoke-free, greener, and more civilized city.”
