According to HotCars, the wildfires in Los Angeles have been causing significant damage to lives and properties. The home of Brandon and Jillienne Sanders was completely destroyed, but their 2013 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck miraculously survived the fire.

A series of photos show that the grille, front bumper, and headlight assembly at the front of the Toyota Tacoma were deformed by the flames. The wheel well, side mirror, and a set of taillights at the rear were also damaged.

However, in a video, Brandon Sanders was able to start the engine, proving that the pickup’s engine was still functional.

A quick inspection revealed that the engine compartment of the 2013 Toyota Tacoma did not sustain significant damage. The owner shared that the spare key was lost in the fire, but he was able to get a new one made through the local dealer.

Speaking to CarBuzz, Brandon Sanders stated that the exterior of the pickup was almost completely ruined by the fire.

“The grille and front bumper are destroyed, the wheel well trim and taillights are damaged. I drove the truck out of the affected area, the windows were extremely dirty, but after using half a bottle of glass cleaner and two rolls of paper towels, everything was as good as new,” said the owner.
