Mazda has unveiled its plans to introduce a new range of vehicles in Southeast Asia over the next three years.
Specifically, from now until 2028, Mazda will introduce five new models, including both electric and hybrid vehicles, in Thailand.
At a press conference, Mazda also revealed a sketch of a mysterious model. Based on the shared image, the vehicle appears to be a compact SUV with two tailpipes at the rear, suggesting it could be a hybrid.
The car features a green exterior and a sporty design, in line with Mazda’s new design language.
The front of the vehicle resembles the new Mazda CX-5, while the body has a sloping roof design, reminiscent of a Coupe-style SUV.
The rear of this new SUV features small, round taillights, a unique design compared to other Mazda models.
Speculations suggest that this could be the successor to the Mazda CX-3 or a larger version of the CX-30. However, media outlets believe it to be the Mazda CX-20, a possible SUV variant of the Mazda2.
In addition to the upcoming CX-20, Mazda also plans to introduce a pure electric sedan, the 6e, in the Thai market this year.
By 2026, Mazda will launch the commercial version of the CX-6e and a larger SUV, likely the CX-80, with a plug-in hybrid system.
