Kia Unveils All-New EV4 Electric Vehicle at EV Day 2025

Kia has recently introduced its all-new EV4 electric vehicle at the EV Day 2025 event.

The Kia EV4 comes in two variants: a sedan and a hatchback. Both have a width of 1,860 mm and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. However, the sedan is 300 mm longer than the hatchback, measuring 4,730 mm, and is also 5 mm lower, with a height of 1,480 mm.

Both the EV4 sedan and hatchback feature identical front designs, including sleek LED headlights and daytime running lights, paired with a bold black grille.

The EV4 sedan stands out with its super-car-inspired side profile. It has an elongated rear, a low-slung glasshouse, and a thick C-pillar. Overall, the EV4 sedan looks unique compared to other Kia models.

On the other hand, the EV4 hatchback has a more traditional rear design with smaller, upright glass and pillars. It features a sleek spoiler and sharp LED taillights with a horizontal light bar.

Both the sedan and hatchback versions of the EV4 come with the GT-Line package, enhancing their sporty appearance with sharp 19-inch alloy wheels and more aggressive front and rear bumpers.

Since they are built on the dedicated E-GMP electric vehicle platform, both variants of the EV4 offer spacious cabins.

The interior of the EV4 is equipped with three screens: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on the left, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen on the right, and a 5.3-inch control screen for the climate control system in the center. To facilitate easy operation, Kia has included multiple physical shortcut buttons on the dashboard and next to the center armrest.

The sedan offers a larger trunk capacity of 490 liters, compared to 435 liters for the hatchback due to its shorter rear end.

Powering the Kia EV4 is an electric motor that delivers 201 horsepower and 283 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a front-wheel-drive system. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version and a sportier GT variant are expected to be introduced at a later date.

The Kia EV4 offers two battery options: a 58.3 kWh and an 81.4 kWh battery, both supporting fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. With the slow AC charging system, the standard battery takes 5 hours and 20 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%, while the larger battery option takes 7 hours and 15 minutes.

With the smaller battery, the EV4 sedan can achieve a range of 430 km on a single charge, according to the WLTP standard, while the hatchback offers a range of 410 km.

When equipped with the larger battery, the sedan and hatchback can travel up to 630 km and 590 km, respectively. The Kia EV4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds with the smaller battery and 7.7 seconds with the larger battery. All versions have a top speed limited to 170 km/h.

The Kia EV4 sedan is expected to arrive at Korean dealerships next month. Meanwhile, the hatchback, exclusive to the European market, will be delivered to customers in the second half of this year.
