The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, which opens today on March 9, 2025, promises to be a captivating event with a plethora of intriguing activities. This festival is also a significant celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Victory of Buon Ma Thuot and the liberation of Dak Lak Province (March 10, 1975 – March 10, 2025).
Having accompanied this event for many consecutive years, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, Chairman of Trung Nguyen, decided to bring something unique and different this time by showcasing a full collection of Mercedes-Benz cars, from vintage to modern models.
Fourteen Mercedes-Benz cars were brought to the World of Coffee Museum for the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival. Among them were six 190SL models, along with 250SL, 280SL, 380SL, and 560SL, as well as Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles.
The video showcases the unique display of approximately ten Mercedes-Benz cars parked below, including 4 vintage models: 190SL, 250SL, 280SL, and 380SL, along with the modern Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Additionally, two classic Mercedes-Benz 190SL and 280SL cars are showcased on the road leading up to the World of Coffee Museum.
Compared to the 190 SL, the 280 SL features a distinctive high and square roof design, earning it the playful nickname of “pagoda roof.” Additionally, the car incorporates aluminum body parts, such as the hood and door panels, to reduce weight.
As the third model in the Mercedes-Benz W113 series, the 280 SL followed the 230 SL and 250 SL and was introduced in December 1967. It continued production until February 23, 1971, when it was replaced by the significantly heavier 350 SL, which was also present at the festival.
