After fully exploring the North, the “Toyota – A Million Smiles” caravan journey continues towards the Central region, famous for its sunny and windy landscapes and its romantic scenery. The journey from Danang to Dong Giang’s Heaven Gate offers participants the opportunity to enjoy some of the best natural beauty in Vietnam, while also experiencing the superior Hybrid technology of the Yaris Cross, Corolla Cross, Altis, and especially the Camry.

Departing from the coastal city of Danang

Pressing the ignition button, the hybrid vehicles are ready to roll in EV mode without making a sound. The simple sounds of a new day blend with the sea breeze: the sounds of the female environmental sanitation workers pruning flowers and watering the plants, the rhythmic footsteps of joggers, and the laughter of students cycling to school early in the morning… all come together to create a refreshing start to a new day.

The caravan sets off from the center of Danang city. Compact cars like the Toyota Yaris Cross navigate the crowded inner-city streets during the morning rush hour with agility and confidence, then head along the coastal road of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, where the blue water and golden sunlight dominate the scenery outside the car window.

With the advantage of being an “all-in-one” versatile model, the Toyota Corolla Cross began to show its breakthrough strength as it left the city center and joined the 14G national highway. Drivers can freely explore the power of hybrid technology while the remaining passengers continue to enjoy the spacious and comfortable interior throughout the journey.

From Hoa Vang district, the caravan began to climb the Dong Giang pass. The sharp curves and steep slopes couldn’t challenge the superior strength of the Camry HEVs, equipped with a 2.5L engine. As soon as the accelerator pedal is pressed, the car surges forward with a burst of speed that is now addictive – and it’s all thanks to Toyota’s electrified lineup.

Conquering the Dong Giang Pass

Not only does it deliver power when climbing uphill, but the regenerative braking system also makes the elegant Toyota Altis easier to control when descending: the engine gently slows the car down instead of relying solely on the brake pedal. At the same time, the battery is recharged to utilize the excess energy.

Throughout the journey, what impressed the drivers the most was not just the power and smooth, safe operation of Toyota’s Hybrid technology, but also the extremely economical fuel consumption of the HEV models: approximately 3.5 – 5.0 L / 100 km combined, including city driving, long-distance roads, and winding mountain passes with steep slopes.

Compared to other models in the same segment, the Toyota HEVs save up to half the fuel cost. In addition to helping car owners save money on gas, hybrid technology also contributes to reducing emissions, thereby protecting the environment and ensuring a cleaner future for the next generation.

Reaching the Majestic Heaven Gate

After traveling over 120km through diverse terrain, the caravan arrived at Dong Giang’s Heaven Gate – one of the new attractions in Quang Nam province. This destination stands out for its pristine scenery, with remnants of primeval forests hidden in the clouds at an altitude of more than 1,400 meters above sea level.

Concluding the “Toyota – A Million Smiles” caravan journey here, the trip left many emotions, not only from the majestic and beautiful natural scenery but also from the opportunity to temporarily leave the hustle and bustle of daily life, slow down, and enjoy the relaxation that nature offers, recharging both body and soul.

Most importantly, this journey allowed the hybrid technology in Toyota vehicles to showcase its strength and advantages, along with its durability, reliability, smoothness, and high-class comfort and convenience.

While the trip may have ended, the memorable experiences with the Camry Hybrid will surely remain in the hearts of each member of the caravan.
