In recent news, the Ministry of Public Security has approved plans for the sixth auction of vehicle license plates, marking a significant event as it includes the first auction of motorcycle plates and offers the largest selection of premium plates.
Specifically, this auction features 2,181,366 car and motorcycle license plates from 63 provinces and cities across the country. Among these, over 624,000 are car plates, and more than 1.55 million are motorcycle plates, all of which have been made available for citizens to choose from.
Notably, this auction includes a range of desirable number combinations, such as quintuple 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, as well as “567.89.”
The starting bid and deposit amount for cars are set at VND 40 million, while for motorcycles, it is VND 5 million.
For license plates with the format AAAAA and ABCDE that are being auctioned for the third time, the starting bid is VND 500 million for car plates and VND 50 million for motorcycle plates.
The auction will be conducted online, utilizing an ascending bid format. The sixth auction of license plates will take place 30 days after the list of available plates is published (from March 5th). The Vietnam Auction Company has been chosen by the Ministry of Public Security to organize this asset auction.
