Mitsubishi has recently introduced a special edition called the PLAY for both the Xpander and Xpander Cross HEV in the Southeast Asian market.

The PLAY version of the Xpander and Xpander Cross now comes with a host of new and modern features.

Specifically, the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV Play boasts a sporty body kit, including an extended front bumper, side skirts, and a rear bumper with a black diffuser.

On the other hand, the Xpander Cross HEV Play features a grille painted in the body color, resembling the design of the third-generation Triton.

Both special editions come with a blacked-out roof, mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, and unique smoked taillights.

Xpander HEV Play is offered in two exterior colors: White Diamond and Graphite Grey. The Xpander Cross HEV Play adds a Green Bronze option.

Aside from the exterior changes, the interior and powertrain of the Mitsubishi models remain unchanged. The vehicles are still powered by a hybrid system combining a 1.6L engine with an electric motor and a 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. The fuel consumption is rated at 5.21 liters per 100 km, and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.7 seconds.

In Thailand, the Xpander HEV Play and Xpander Cross HEV Play are priced at 981,000 baht (approximately 738 million VND). This price is 20,000 baht (15 million VND) higher than the standard Xpander Cross HEV and 48,000 baht (36 million VND) higher than the standard Xpander HEV.

Mitsubishi plans to showcase the Xpander and Xpander HEV Play at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show 2025 in Thailand later this month.
