At the Vietnam-Indonesia Business Dialogue with the theme “Vietnam – Indonesia: A Partnership for Progress and Prosperity,” General Secretary To Lam, along with Vietnamese and Indonesian ministers, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation between VinFast and the state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

The MOU between VinFast and BNI marks a significant milestone for both parties in providing financial solutions and driving the green transportation revolution in Southeast Asia, while also contributing to the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.

According to the MOU, VinFast and BNI will actively work towards promoting green transformation and sustainable growth in Indonesia. The focus of the collaboration is to invest in, develop, and provide financial solutions to support VinFast’s green ecosystem, as well as facilitate the transition to electric mobility for Indonesian citizens.

BNI will serve as a comprehensive strategic partner, providing professional consulting, sharing market knowledge and expertise, and facilitating access to capital and financial products for VinFast, companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, as well as VinFast’s partners and customers.

In return, VinFast and companies within the Vingroup ecosystem commit to offering exclusive privileges to BNI employees and partners. These privileges include special pricing for VinFast electric vehicles and related products/services, along with flexible financial solutions designed to boost electric vehicle adoption and green transformation at BNI.

Additionally, both parties will jointly organize campaigns to raise awareness and promote green transformation in Indonesia, creating a significant impact on the country’s Net Zero goals and sustainable prosperity. This, in turn, contributes to strengthening the partnership between the two nations, aptly themed “Vietnam – Indonesia: A Partnership for Progress and Prosperity.”

Mr. Agung Prabowo, Member of the Board of Directors for Wholesale and International Banking at BNI, shared, “BNI is strongly committed to promoting green initiatives and environmentally friendly solutions, and we take our social responsibilities seriously. We are impressed by VinFast’s pioneering ‘For a Green Future’ ecosystem in Indonesia. With our shared goal of fostering sustainable development, we believe that this collaboration will not only bring strategic business opportunities but also contribute to building a solid cooperative relationship between Indonesia and Vietnam, leading to long-term socio-economic prosperity.”

Ms. Pham Thuy Linh, Deputy General Director of VinFast Global, added, “VinFast is honored to partner with BNI, a leading and reputable financial institution in Indonesia. We are committed to doing our best to support the transition to electric vehicles for Indonesian citizens in the most convenient and reassuring manner. With this cooperation, VinFast aspires to create positive societal values, contributing to the promotion of green and sustainable development in Indonesia.”

In just over a year of presence in Indonesia, VinFast has made remarkable strides, including officially breaking ground on its assembly plant, introducing a diverse range of products, and pioneering sales and after-sales policies. The company has also rapidly expanded its network of dealerships and service centers across the country.
