On February 18, 2025, Vingroup and the Military-Telecoms Industry Group (Viettel) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote the goals of digital transformation and green transition.

The collaboration between two of Vietnam’s leading corporations to build an innovative ecosystem for the country’s sustainable development will contribute to enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese enterprises in the international arena.

According to the agreement, Vingroup and Viettel will work closely together to leverage the strengths of each other’s product/service ecosystems, while combining their respective superior advantages to co-develop solutions that promote green and digital transformation in Vietnam. The two sides also agreed to accompany each other in bringing their cooperative products to the international market, thereby elevating the position of Vietnamese brands globally.

Specifically, in the field of technology and industry, Viettel will collaborate with VinFast, a subsidiary of Vingroup, on research and development, technology transfer, design, and more, to integrate Viettel’s strengths in electrical and electronic components, charging station equipment, and software applications into VinFast’s supply chain.

In the field of logistics, the two sides will coordinate to study the integration of optimized transportation and delivery processes, prioritizing the use of VinFast’s green vehicles in delivery services and the Xanh SM electric taxi service for Viettel Post’s last-mile delivery.

In the field of telecommunications and digital transformation, Vingroup’s ecosystem units will prioritize the use of information technology products and solutions provided by Viettel, such as mobile network infrastructure, broadband internet, Viettel Money wallet payments, cloud computing and cybersecurity services, as well as digital solutions like electronic contracts, e-invoicing, and digital signatures.

Additionally, Viettel will work with V-Green, VinFast’s charging station system developer, to deploy charging infrastructure, with Viettel potentially taking on construction, operation, and maintenance responsibilities at domestic and overseas bases. The two groups will also consider collaborating on renewable energy projects, including solar power systems for VinFast factories, V-Green charging stations, and Vinhomes urban areas.

Besides cooperating to exploit and promote each other’s strengths in business, the two sides committed to prioritizing the use of their partner’s products/services to achieve mutual prosperity. Specifically, Viettel encourages its member companies and staff to adopt green mobility options such as VinFast electric cars and motorcycles, or VinBus electric bus, Xanh SM electric taxi, and FGF electric rental car services. Vingroup, on the other hand, will have its subsidiary companies in the ecosystem consider increasing the use of Viettel’s product and service ecosystem.
