The Lexus LC 500 is one of the more intriguing sports cars from the Japanese automaker, seemingly designed for those who admire the LFA but can’t quite afford it. This has led to almost five Lexus LC 500s being imported into the country, with only one of them being the convertible model.

This particular Lexus LC 500 Convertible is a rare sight on the roads, and interestingly, it bears the license plate of Binh Thuan province, yet it is often spotted in Ho Chi Minh City. After a year-long absence, the car has recently resurfaced in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

The license plate of this Lexus LC 500 Convertible is quite remarkable, featuring a pair of 17s at the beginning and end, along with the numbers 179, which can be interpreted as a lucky number (1) and a large fortune (79). The car’s exterior is painted in white, while the soft top is finished in a complementary tan color, matching the interior and further enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.

Adding to the car’s elegance are the chrome accents found on the grille, front and rear bumpers, exhaust pipes, and headlight and taillight housings. The five-spoke alloy wheels, with their two-tone finish, also contribute to the car’s bold and distinctive look.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible boasts a four-layer soft top that can be effortlessly raised or lowered with the push of a button from within the cockpit. The entire process takes just 15 to 16 seconds, and when lowered, the soft top is neatly tucked away in a dedicated compartment.

The interior of this Binh Thuan-plated Lexus LC 500 Convertible features a striking two-tone color scheme of brown and black on the seats and dashboard. The instrument cluster comprises a full-color TFT screen, while the center console houses a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Remote Touch interface, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration.

Under the hood, the Lexus LC 500 Convertible is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates a maximum output of 471 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 539 Nm of peak torque at 4,800 rpm.

This impressive powertrain in the Binh Thuan-based Lexus LC 500 Convertible is mated to a 10-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h.
