February 2025 marked a low point for the Vietnamese automotive market due to the Lunar New Year celebrations. However, this did not deter the sales of VinFast electric vehicles.

According to VinFast, they delivered over 12,500 electric vehicles to Vietnamese customers in February 2025, a 20% increase compared to the previous month. As a result, four VinFast electric vehicle models made it to the top 10 best-selling cars in the Vietnamese market last February.

VinFast sold over 12,500 electric vehicles to Vietnamese customers despite the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Specifically, in February 2025, VinFast sold 5,200 VF 3 units in the domestic market. With this figure, VinFast VF 3 is currently leading the entire Vietnamese automotive market.

Following closely behind is the VinFast VF 5 with 3,000 units sold and the VF 6 with 2,000 units. Meanwhile, the VinFast VF e34, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models sold a total of more than 2,200 units. Among these, the VinFast VF 7 contributed 570 units, ranking 10th in the market.

Thus, in the first two months of 2025, VinFast delivered a total of 23,000 vehicles to Vietnamese customers. This result continues to solidify VinFast’s position as the brand with the largest market share in Vietnam.

In 2024, VinFast sold approximately 87,000 cars to domestic customers. This year, VinFast aims to double the number of vehicle deliveries globally compared to 2024.

Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Vice President of Global VinFast Sales, shared, “We have set a very challenging target for ourselves this year. However, with reasonable adjustments to our sales and after-sales service policies, along with the introduction of new products, VinFast will continue to earn the trust and support of our customers.”

Previously, VinFast adjusted its business strategy in the Vietnamese market. According to the company, starting March 1, 2025, they officially stopped the policy of leasing batteries for cars and electric motorcycles. In other words, from that point on, VinFast only sold cars with batteries, similar to many other electric car brands. After this announcement, the prices of VinFast electric cars with batteries also decreased significantly, ranging from 11 to 181 million VND, depending on the model.

In addition, VinFast started accepting bookings and announced the prices of the new Green models, specifically designed for customers purchasing electric vehicles for ride-hailing services. These models include the VinFast Minio Green, Limo Green, Herio Green, and Nerio Green, priced from 269 to 749 million VND.

The expected delivery time for the Herio and Nerio models is April 2025. In contrast, customers who purchase the Minio and Limo duo will have to wait until August 2025.
