Lexus recently unveiled the mid-life cycle update for its RZ model.

Along with this update, the Japanese automaker also introduced the RZ 550e F SPORT variant, bringing the total number of versions available to three: RZ 350e, RZ 500e, and RZ 550e F SPORT.

All three versions maintain the same dimensions of 4,805 x 1,895 x 1,635 mm, with an unchanged wheelbase of 2,850 mm. This mid-life cycle update doesn’t bring significant changes to the exterior, aside from new color options and 18- to 20-inch wheel designs.

The new RZ 550e F SPORT stands out with its 20-inch sports wheels and a rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics.

Inside, the 2025 Lexus RZ retains its familiar layout, now offering an optional premium panoramic sunroof that can instantly adjust its tint at the touch of a button. The Dynamic Shadowy Illumination ambient lighting system further enhances the cabin’s ambiance.

The F SPORT version takes it a notch higher with a racing-inspired steering wheel and sporty metal-clad pedals. The rest of the equipment remains consistent across the RZ 350e, RZ 500e, and RZ 550e F SPORT variants.

Under the hood, all three versions—RZ 350e, RZ 500e, and RZ 550e F SPORT—are equipped with a front electric motor generating 227 horsepower and 269 Nm of torque.

The RZ 500e and RZ 550e F SPORT take it up a notch with an additional rear electric motor, producing the same 227 horsepower and 269 Nm of torque. This boosts the combined output of these versions to 224 horsepower, 381 horsepower, and 408 horsepower, respectively.

Each variant boasts impressive acceleration, capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, 4.6 seconds, and 4.4 seconds, respectively. These SUVs are powered by a 77 kWh battery and support fast CCS2 charging. Depending on the version, the range is expected to be 575 km, 500 km, and 450 km.

The 2025 Lexus RZ benefits from an upgraded Steer-by-Wire electronic steering system, intelligent DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, Interactive Manual Drive that simulates the gear-shifting feel of internal combustion engine vehicles, and an in-cabin audio simulation system, all of which contribute to a more authentic and exhilarating driving experience.

Lexus has not yet disclosed the pricing details for the mid-life cycle update of the Lexus RZ. The plan is to launch the vehicle in various markets starting in Q3 2025.
