The Vietnamese automotive market is kicking off the post-Tet holiday season with a range of promotions and discounts. Many car manufacturers are offering significant discounts, some up to hundreds of millions of VND, making it easier and more affordable for Vietnamese customers to purchase their dream cars.

Hyundai offers discounts of up to 45 million VND and extended warranty

Hyundai Thanh Cong has announced a dual promotion for all Hyundai vehicles in Vietnam, including an immediate discount of up to 45 million VND, along with an extended warranty of 8 years or 120,000 km.

This program is valid for customers who purchase vehicles in February and applies to models manufactured in 2024.

Hyundai’s passenger car lineup in Vietnam includes the Grand i10, Accent, Venue, Creta, Elantra, Tucson, Custin, Santa Fe, Palisade, and Stargazer. Most of these models are domestically assembled, while the Hyundai Stargazer remains an imported product.

Last year, Hyundai sold 56,748 passenger cars in Vietnam. The brand ranked third in the list of best-selling car brands in Vietnam in 2023, following VinFast and Toyota. Sedans and SUVs are the company’s mainstays in the Vietnamese market, along with strong growth from the MPV segment.

Kia offers discounts of up to 110 million VND

During February, Kia is offering promotions on a total of six models, with discounts ranging from 5 million to a maximum of 110 million VND.

Kia’s three sedan models are eligible for discounts ranging from 10 to 32 million VND, depending on the version. The highest discount of 32 million VND is offered on the Kia K5 2.5 GT-Line, reducing the price from 999 million to 967 million VND.

The two versions of the Kia K3, the 2.0 Premium, and the 1.6 Turbo GT, come with discounts of 10 million and 25 million VND, respectively, bringing their prices down to 614 million and 689 million VND.

The Kia Soluto is also part of the brand’s February promotions, with discounts ranging from 21 to 22 million VND. After the discount, the Deluxe versions of the Kia Soluto are priced at 397 million and 417 million VND, respectively.

Kia’s urban SUV duo, the Sonet and Seltos, come with discounts ranging from 5 to 43 million VND across all versions. The 9 million VND reduction is applied uniformly to the three versions of the Kia Sonet, resulting in prices ranging from 530 to 615 million VND.

The recently launched Kia Seltos 1.5 Turbo Deluxe benefits from a 13 million VND discount, bringing its price to 646 million VND. The two Turbo variants of the Kia Seltos, the 1.5 Turbo Luxury, and the 1.5 Turbo GT-Line, share a discount of 32 million VND, resulting in respective prices of 706 million and 756 million VND.

The 1.5L Deluxe version receives a 5 million VND discount, bringing its price down to 634 million VND. Excluding the PHEV version, all other versions of the Kia Sorento are eligible for discounts ranging from 10 to 80 million VND.

Subaru offers massive discounts

This month, Subaru is offering promotions on its two SUV models, the Subaru Forester and the Subaru Crosstrek.

The Subaru Forester features the highest discount of 220 million VND on the i-S EyeSight and i-L EyeSight versions, bringing their prices down to 979 million and 879 million VND, respectively. The Subaru Forester i-L benefits from a lower discount of 150 million VND, resulting in a current price of 819 million VND.

These are the last Subaru Foresters imported from Thailand. Going forward, the Subaru Forester sold in Vietnam will be imported from Japan as part of the brand’s restructuring efforts, which include the closure of its Thai factory.

As for the Subaru Crosstrek, the Japanese brand is offering a cash incentive of 89 million VND on both versions. Currently, the Subaru Crosstrek 2.0 i-S EyeSight is priced at 1,009 billion VND, while the hybrid version costs 1,179 billion VND.

Subaru is also offering a free automatic trunk upgrade worth 19.5 million VND to customers who purchase the Crosstrek in February.

Car brands offer registration fee support and cash gifts

Honda is continuing its cash incentive of 250 million VND for the Honda Accord, bringing its price down to 1,069 billion VND.

The Japanese brand is also providing support for registration fees for the City, HR-V, CR-V, and BR-V models. Additionally, some models come with a one-year body insurance bonus for customers who purchase during this month.

Toyota is currently offering a 50% discount on registration fees for three domestically assembled models: the Vios, Veloz Cross, and Avanza Premio.

This promotion translates to a value of 23-27 million VND for the Toyota Vios, 32-33 million VND for the Toyota Veloz Cross, and 28-30 million VND for the Toyota Avanza Premio.

Mitsubishi, another Japanese brand, is providing a 50% discount on registration fees for most of its passenger car models sold in Vietnam. For the Mitsubishi Xforce, customers who purchase during February will receive a fuel voucher worth 10-25 million VND, depending on the version.

Volkswagen is offering a 100% discount on registration fees for its SUV models, the Touareg and Tiguan. Additionally, the Teramont X SUV comes with a 50% discount on the registration fee and a free electric side step.

Customers who purchase the Volkswagen Viloran in February will receive a free dashcam and a two-time/two-year OCP service package.
