Recently, Mr. N.H.A, the owner of the first limited-edition Porsche 911 Dakar in Vietnam, embarked on a journey to explore China. The trip is expected to last about a month, covering a distance of over 10,000 km.

On March 18, 2025, the businessman from Haiphong shared the first challenges of this journey as he drove through Pha Din Pass, with visibility limited to just 10 meters due to dense fog.

The Third “Phượt” Journey to China by the Owner of Porsche 911 Dakar: First Obstacle on the Foggy Pha Din Pass

Pha Din Pass is a 32-kilometer-long mountain pass on National Highway 6, located between Phổng Lái commune, Thuận Châu district, Sơn La province, and Tỏa Tình commune, Tuần Giáo district, Điện Biên province. The pass starts 66 kilometers west of Sơn La city and ends about 84 kilometers from Điện Biên Phủ city.

One of the key advantages of the Porsche 911 Dakar is its increased ground clearance, which is 50 mm higher than the standard model. This feature enables the Haiphong businessman to easily navigate through various terrains.

Additionally, the Porsche 911 Dakar can further raise its ground clearance by 30 mm in the High-Level mode. This mode, activated via a knob on the steering wheel, is designed for off-road driving, allowing the car to clear speed bumps and potholes without scraping the underside.

When the owner took delivery of the car, it was wrapped in a new livery with red and yellow accents on the original GT Silver Metallic paint. The numbers ’19’ were added to both sides and the front trunk lid, reflecting the owner’s date of birth (19th of the month).

This Porsche 911 Dakar, with the serial number 1,904/2,500, is one of only four such cars in Vietnam. It is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine that produces 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is a limited-edition model, with only 2,560 units produced globally. It is equipped with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and rear-wheel steering, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 240 km/h.
