Toyota has recently announced plans to launch three new electric vehicles by 2026.
This includes a fully electric Land Cruiser SUV and an electric pickup truck. The third model remains a mystery.
At the plan announcement event, Toyota also teased images of the vehicles. The SUV on the right features a boxy design with a slightly sloping roof. This is predicted to be the production version of the Land Cruiser SE concept, unveiled in 2023. At that time, Toyota revealed that the Land Cruiser SE concept would have an all-electric powertrain and be 25 cm longer than the hybrid Land Cruiser.
The electric pickup truck is speculated to be an electric variant of the Toyota Hilux.
Based on the teaser, the final mysterious model could be the production version of the bZ Large SUV concept, first introduced by Toyota in 2021. It features a sleek front end and a wagon-style sloping roof.
Not only Toyota, but Lexus also intends to introduce two new electric vehicles in the European market. However, Lexus has not disclosed any details about these models yet. Rumors suggest that one could be an electric sedan similar to the Lexus IS, and the other a three-row SUV.
