A rare McLaren 765LT supercar was recently spotted cruising the streets of Hanoi with the license plate 30L-518.88. It is understood that this license plate was auctioned off on May 8, 2024, with the highest bid reaching VND 215 million.
This limited-edition McLaren 765LT is no stranger to car enthusiasts, having been previously owned by several notable car enthusiasts, such as the mutant orchid magnate from Cu Chi and a mysterious collector known as Jacky.

The McLaren 765LT owned by a Hanoi-based car enthusiast boasts a Paris Blue exterior with carbon fiber options for the hood and rear wing.
This limited-edition supercar sits on a set of exclusive 10-spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. It also features carbon-ceramic brakes inspired by the McLaren Senna.
The McLaren 765LT is not just a street-legal supercar, but it’s also a thrill to drive on the racetrack. Compared to the McLaren 720S, the 765LT has a redesigned exterior with noticeable changes and is 80 kg lighter than the standard version.
To achieve its ideal weight of 1,229 kg, the McLaren 765LT incorporates numerous components made from advanced carbon fiber, titanium exhaust pipes with four rear exits, and thinner glass.
The car’s aggressive front bumper and side skirts are entirely made of carbon fiber, giving it a race-car-like appearance. With its four-round exhaust tips, the McLaren 765LT currently has the most exhaust pipes among McLaren supercars, promising an even more thrilling and aggressive sound compared to the already impressive McLaren 720S.

To achieve the ideal weight of 1,229 kg, McLaren omitted standard features such as the audio system and air conditioning from the 765LT. However, Vietnamese customers can request to have these features included without incurring additional costs.
Following the traditional naming convention, the number 765 indicates the limited production number of the McLaren 765LT worldwide. The letters ‘LT’ stand for ‘Long Tail’. The McLaren 765LT is an even more formidable drag racing supercar than the already impressive McLaren 720S. It is powered by the familiar V8, 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged engine, which has been tuned to deliver a maximum output of 755 horsepower, an increase of 45 horsepower over the McLaren 720S.
Additionally, the McLaren 765LT produces a peak torque of 800 Nm, an improvement of 30 Nm over the McLaren 720S, which holds multiple records in 400m and 800m drag races. The engine’s power is transmitted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which has been refined for faster gear shifts, up to 15% quicker than the 720S.
