Kia Vietnam’s website price list shows that the Kia Morning is the next affordable A-segment car to have its variants reduced. The Kia Morning is now only available in two versions: the MT (VND 349 million) and the X-Line (VND 424 million).

Previously, the Kia Morning was offered to Vietnamese customers in a total of five variants: MT, AT, and AT Premium, in addition to the X-Line and GT-Line.

Prior to the Kia Morning’s reduction in variants in Vietnam, another small A-segment car, the Toyota Wigo, also discontinued its manual transmission version, which was previously priced at VND 360 million. Currently, the Toyota Wigo G, equipped with a CVT transmission, is the only option for Vietnamese customers at a price of VND 405 million.

The A-segment in Vietnam is offering fewer and fewer choices. The remaining gasoline-powered cars in this segment include the Hyundai Grand i10 (VND 360-455 million), Toyota Wigo (VND 405 million), and Kia Morning (VND 349-424 million).

Some other pure electric options in this segment are the Wuling Mini EV (VND 197-231 million), Wuling Bingo (VND 399-469 million), and VF 3, currently priced at VND 240-322 million depending on whether you choose to buy or lease the battery.

The Kia Morning is now only available in the X-Line and MT variants in Vietnam.

Not only are there fewer choices in the A-segment in Vietnam, but this group of cars is also experiencing a decline in sales.

Last year, the total sales of the entire low-floor A-segment reached 9,261 units, with the Hyundai Grand i10 being the best-seller (5,831 units), followed by the Toyota Wigo (2,659 units) and Kia Morning (771 units).

In the first month of the new year, the Hyundai Grand i10 maintained its position as the best-selling model in the segment, despite modest sales of 221 units. The Toyota Wigo also saw a slight decrease in sales to 197 units, while the Kia Morning started 2025 with 39 units delivered to Vietnamese customers.
