At the New York International Auto Show, Hyundai officially unveiled the 2026 Palisade XRT PRO – the first SUV to bear the XRT PRO badge, marking a new direction for the beloved family vehicle with an off-road twist.

Developed based on the ‘human-centered’ philosophy, the Hyundai Palisade XRT PRO is designed for active families who are always on the move and need a vehicle that offers both daily convenience and weekend adventure capabilities.

Compared to the standard model, the XRT PRO boasts an impressive 8.4-inch ground clearance – an increase of 1 inch – along with specialized off-road tires, red-painted front/rear recovery hooks, and significantly improved approach and departure angles. The four-wheel-drive system, HTRAC®, integrates Mud, Sand, and Snow modes, along with an electronic rear limited-slip differential (eLSD), enabling confident navigation through challenging terrain.

Real-time off-road information, such as tilt, altitude, and compass data displayed on the central screen, further enhances the driving experience.

The Palisade XRT PRO not only excels in performance but also impresses with its luxurious interior amenities. It features an 11.2-inch entertainment screen with OTA updates, a Bose 14-speaker sound system, H-Tex heated/cooled seats, an electric sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a 115V power outlet – perfect for camping or cooking equipment during extended trips.

Under the hood, the SUV is powered by a 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 engine, delivering an estimated 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Palisade has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, easily accommodating trailers or recreational vehicles.

The entire 2026 Palisade lineup will be assembled at the Ulsan plant in South Korea. The XRT PRO version, however, will be exclusively sold in the US market and is expected to arrive at dealerships in early summer 2025.

The Hyundai Palisade XRT PRO 2026 is not just an ordinary family SUV; it’s an ideal companion for exploration, where comfort and off-road capability converge in a limitless journey.
