Chinese automotive manufacturer Chery recently unveiled its latest SUV, the Omoda 3, on April 26, 2025. Positioned as a compact SUV, it sits below its larger siblings, the Omoda 5 and Omoda 7. Outside of China, the vehicle may be marketed as the C3, following the naming convention of its older brothers.

According to Brand Director Roy Xie, the Omoda 3 targets a younger demographic. This is reflected in its design, penned by a team of designers with an average age of just 28.
Taking inspiration from spacecraft, the Omoda 3 features a sharp design with angular elements and prominent character lines. Its bold styling even draws comparisons to the Lamborghini Urus.
The front of the vehicle is characterized by slender LED daytime running lights sitting above the main headlamp clusters. The headlights are visually connected by a large black panel in the center, with a wide lower grille featuring vertical slats.

Moving to the side profile, the Omoda 3 showcases bold wheel arch cladding, finished in high-gloss black. This is complemented by hidden door handles and a blacked-out C-pillar, adding a modern touch.
The Omoda 3 is expected to be smaller than the Omoda C5 currently sold in Vietnam.
The vehicle sports sporty alloy wheels.
At the rear, the L-shaped taillights are connected by a full-width light bar that runs across the tailgate. Both the taillights and the light bar feature a unique lightning bolt graphic.

Step inside the Omoda 3, and you’ll find a space-inspired interior with ambient lighting spanning across the doors and air vents on the dashboard. It also features a digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen infotainment system.
One unique interior detail of the Omoda 3 is its start-stop button, inspired by supercars like the Lamborghini. It features a prominent red cover surrounded by quick-access function buttons.
Climate controls are integrated into the central touchscreen, while gear selection is handled by a stalk mounted on the steering column.
Mr. Xie highlighted the Omoda 3’s “spacecraft command seat,” suggesting that the interior is primed for a gaming experience. Additionally, the vehicle offers a rich ecosystem of customization options with various paint colors and accessories.

While Chery has not specified which international markets will receive the Omoda 3, it is likely that this model will be sold in Vietnam under the Omoda & Jaecoo brand in the future.
