On May 2, 2025, Honda announced new incentives for its car models for this month. Accordingly, in May 2025, Honda will support a 50% registration fee for many models, including the CR-V.

In particular, this month, the Honda CR-V is offered with a 50% registration fee discount on the L and G trims. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Honda CR-V e:HEV RS will come with a one-year Honda brand insurance and a fixed interest rate promotion of 3.9% for the first 12 months.

The Honda CR-V G trim is currently priced at VND 1.029 billion, while the corresponding figure for the G 2WD trim is VND 1.099 billion. With the registration fee incentive applied at the rate of 10% by the company, customers will save an amount from VND 50 million to VND 55 million, depending on the version when registering the car.

With the new incentive program in May 2025, the Honda CR-V is expected to regain its appeal and improve sales performance. In March 2025, the Honda CR-V sold only 473 units, up 15.3%, ranking fourth in the C-segment SUV segment, after the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and Ford Territory. Similarly, the cumulative sales of the Honda model in the first quarter of this year also ranked fourth in the segment.

The Honda CR-V in Vietnam does not have a price advantage, with a price range of VND 1.029 billion to VND 1.259 billion. It is currently one of the most expensive models in the C-segment SUV segment in Vietnam. Therefore, without the company’s promotions, the car will struggle to compete with its rivals.

Making up for the high price is the Honda CR-V’s attractive design and ample features. Accordingly, the car possesses an LED lighting system, 18-inch alloy wheels, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-position memory, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, a digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, automatic air conditioning, interior ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, remote engine start, smart key cards, an electronic parking brake, and the Honda Sensing active safety suite as standard.

What’s more, the Honda CR-V is one of the few models in its segment to offer a hybrid powertrain. For the top-spec e:HEV RS, this hybrid system consists of a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 146 horsepower. The engine is paired with two electric motors with a combined output of 181 horsepower. As a result, the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS delivers a total system output of 204 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque.

The remaining versions of the CR-V employ a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 188 horsepower and a peak torque of 240 Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
