Jeep is gearing up to unveil the next generation of its Compass model in the European market. However, thanks to some leaked images, we can get a sneak peek at the design of this SUV before its official debut.
The new Jeep Compass makes an early appearance.
The leaked images reveal a more boxy design for the new Compass compared to its predecessor. The cars featured in the leaks belong to different variants. Notably, the Neon green car could be an all-electric version, indicated by the “e” logo on the rear hatch. Meanwhile, the white car with black accents and a distinctive front bumper guard might be the Trailhawk variant, tailored for off-roading.

The new Compass sports sharper lines and draws inspiration from the smaller Jeep Avenger SUV. It boasts square wheel arches, sleek LED lights, and slim air intakes on the front bumper. With a shorter front and rear overhang, the new Compass appears more agile than its older sibling.

The Jeep Compass will be based on Stellantis’ new STLA Medium platform, shared with other Stellantis SUVs like the Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland, and Citroen C5 Aircross. However, Jeep is expected to offer specialized off-road features for its higher-end variants, particularly the Trailhawk.

Inside, the 2026 Jeep Compass gets a fresh look with a large infotainment screen positioned above the physical buttons and dials. The center console and dashboard are accented with faux aluminum details. The featured variant appears to be a high-end model, equipped with a dual-pane sunroof, a head-up display (HUD), and leather upholstery with contrast stitching.
Specific details about the engine lineup are yet to be announced. Jeep has promised to offer “an extended range of powertrains, including e-Hybrid, e-Hybrid plug-in, and full electric” options for the new Compass. However, in markets outside Europe, conventional gasoline engines may still be available.

It’s likely that the Compass will feature all-wheel-drive options, staying true to Jeep’s off-road heritage. Based on the specifications of the Peugeot e-3008, the all-electric version of the Jeep Compass 2026 could deliver a maximum output of 321 horsepower thanks to its dual-motor setup. Battery options are expected to include 73 kWh and 97 kWh capacities.
Stellantis has confirmed that the new Jeep Compass will be produced in Italy by the end of 2025. Initially, models destined for the North American market were planned to be assembled in Canada from 2026. However, due to US tariff issues on imported vehicles, the launch timeline for this market has been delayed.
