In early May 2025, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) unveiled the V2 upgraded versions of its two flagship sedans, the C 200 Avantgarde and the C 300 AMG. Notably, despite an array of added comfort features, the prices of both models remain unchanged.

Both V2 versions of the C-Class now come with front-seat heating, enhancing comfort in colder weather. Additionally, each variant boasts distinct upgrades:

The C 200 Avantgarde V2 is equipped with automatic headlights that adjust their beam for distance. The MBUX Navigation Plus system has also been updated with Vietnamese maps, enabling easier navigation without the need for external applications.

As for the C 300 AMG V2, it features a head-up display (HUD) that projects vital information onto the windshield. The windshield and side windows for the front seats have been upgraded to premium sound-insulating and heat-insulating glass, enhancing cabin quietness and comfort. Furthermore, the rear seats now include a USB Type-C charging port to meet the growing connectivity demands.

Despite the additional features, the prices of the two models remain the same: the C 200 Avantgarde is priced at 1.599 billion VND, while the C 300 AMG costs 2.099 billion VND.

Powering the C 200 Avantgarde is a turbocharged I4 gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.5L, producing 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the C 300 AMG is equipped with a turbocharged I4 gasoline engine, displacing 2.0L and generating 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

Both vehicles utilize a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

By enhancing comfort features without adjusting prices, Mercedes-Benz maintains its competitive edge in the luxury sedan segment, where consumers increasingly value practical usability. This subtle update in the form of a “V2 version” also showcases MBV’s flexible product update strategy, deviating from the traditional facelift cycle.
